Last week we took the first steps on the road to Sónar 2025, an event that will broadcast on all frequencies. The first acts from the Sónar 2025 lineup have now been announced, via a brand-new image campaign conceived and directed by our co-founder and creative director Sergio Caballero. A mechanised ballet performed by bulldozers and cranes set to 'La Llevantina' - a classic Catalan folk song known as a 'sardana' - provides the backdrop as the first 66 names are revealed. It's a statement that illustrates our unique, 360º vision of culture. Tradition and modernity combine in unexpected ways. Radical performances meet the biggest and best DJs around. Ground-breaking acts from Catalonia and Spain share the stage with representatives from micro-scenes around the globe. Sónar is one of the pillars of Sónar Week, when we invite the world to discover Barcelona. We've also announced the first pair of events for OFFSónar, our series of open-air parties in the beautiful surroundings of Poble Espanyol. Both dates of RÜFÜS DU SOL are already sold out, and Adriatique's 'X' is already selling fast, with more events to be announced soon. This October, Sónar heads to Dubai for two very special events as part of GITEX GLOBAL Largest Tech & Startup Show in the World. Between the 13th and 16th October, we're teaming up with Expand North Star to curate a special Sónar+D programme at the world's largest event for startups and investors. We're bringing a taste of Project Area to Dubai, with an exhibition area hosting an Arts Korea Lab Showcase (with works by collective_nshp, 3ARTH, Seungsoon Park and Team Pearl) as well as DataMind Audio and krea.ai. On the 14th October, you'll also be able to hear each the exhibitors explain their work  over at The Future of Creativity Stage, where they'll be joined by Data Analytics & Visualization Group, BSC-CNS. And on the 18th October, Sónar and M Premiere are bringing Eric Prydz's HOLO to the MENA region for the first time: the planet-sized spectacle will close GITEX GLOBAL 2024.
