Start by figuring out the goal. The format does not depend on anyone other than the client! What does the client want? Once you have that answer, create a Google sheet that can be shared with the team. Since the goal is unified, it doesn’t matter how the team works, as long as they get results. In the end, there is no one way of writing content and the more the creative ideas we have from the team, the better. In general, the goal should be that the content going out there should be noticed, absorbed and loved! The idea is to look at the entire picture and choose what you want to do. There’s no point in everyone working on the same thing! Collaborate! Set your ego aside. It only makes you lose opportunities and money!
-
Dividing the work might cause team members to focus only on their own parts, which could create misunderstandings and a lack of teamwork. It might be better to start with a discussion where everyone talks about why each content format is important. This way, team members understand each other’s ideas and can work together from the beginning, making sure everyone is on the same page throughout the project.

To unite a divided content team, focus on these steps: Shared Goal: Get everyone aligned on one clear goal, like improving audience engagement. Use Everyone’s Strengths: Let team members bring their best skills—writing, video, or design—into the content strategy to work together. Open Communication: Create a space where everyone can easily share ideas and feedback. Let Data Decide: Use audience data to guide which content formats work best, helping the team make fair, informed decisions. Regular Reviews: Keep improving by reviewing content performance together and adjusting as needed. By working towards the same goal and using data to guide decisions, your team can collaborate more effectively.

To unite a divided team, I’d first align everyone around shared goals and the audience’s needs. I’d encourage open discussions to explore the strengths of each format and find common ground, possibly creating a hybrid strategy. Establishing content guidelines ensures consistency, while assigning team members roles based on their strengths fosters ownership. Regular feedback loops and celebrating small wins help maintain collaboration. This way, we leverage diverse ideas while staying unified towards success.
