Here’s how I approach it: Set Clear Boundaries: Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables to manage client expectations effectively. Regular Check-Ins: Schedule consistent meetings to discuss progress and adjust plans as needed. Strategic Planning: Break projects into smaller tasks with realistic timelines to reduce stress and maintain quality. Leverage AI: Use AI tools to automate routine tasks, streamlining workflows and freeing time for strategic work. Prioritize Self-Care: Encourage regular breaks and promote well-being within the team to stay energized and focused. By managing expectations, utilizing AI, and prioritizing self-care, I meet client demands while protecting my well-being.

Balancing client demands with self-care is vital to sustainable,long-term success and peace of mind.We have to prioritize our well-being by setting clear boundaries. And also, open communication about our availability and stick to it a great key.We have to manage stress, recharging and replenishing our energy with rituals such as regular breaks, exercise, meditation or journaling. It is important to engage in activities with “me time” a hobby or spending quality time with our loved ones.Ultimately, by nurturing ourselves, we can improve a healthier dynamic for both parties. And also we have to delegate tasks and ask for help when needed.By honoring our own needs,we improve the quality of the service we provide.

A few things that I use: 1. Be clear on when you are and when you aren't available. 2. Be proactive, get ahead of the needs of your clients so you don't have to be reactive to their asks. 3. Know that you are your best self when you prioritize your well-being and that your clients benefit from that!

Balancing client demands with self-care is something we all struggle with at times. It’s easy to get caught up in the urgency of client needs, but it’s just as important to take a step back and remember that we can’t pour from an empty cup. We often think being available 24/7 is a sign of dedication, but what clients really appreciate is someone who can show up fully—energized, focused, and thoughtful. Set boundaries that work for you, communicate them clearly, and stick to them. In the end, your clients will respect you more for being steady and reliable, and you’ll protect your own well-being along the way. It’s not about working harder—it’s about working smarter and staying healthy for the long game.

I am reminded of a quote from the late great Jim Rohn who once said, "The key to success is learning to work harder on yourself than you do on your job"

Fire the client. If it’s even a close call then they are toxic and have to go. It only happens occasionally and after years I can honestly say I should have gone with my gut earlier in my career. This is not to say work will always be easy, but client expectations should be reasonable. If they are burning you out they are not.

Understanding your body is the most important. As it is famously said "Your body speaks to you". Never ignore any pain of your body no matter how mild it feels. Also understand that every work has to have a time framework. Being available for client everytime is not healthy. Also being available for client demands is not healthy at all. Make your client understand your time and attention limitation. I instantly tell client that Saturday Sunday is my family time. Maximum I can have 1 workshop. No more commitments, meeting or training sessions.initially it will look odd but at they end they accept you for who you are and how you work.
