Tenet is a 2020 science-fiction film directed by Christopher Nolan, starring John David Washington as the nameless Protagonist. It was filmed in several countries, including Norway, Estonia, England, Italy and India.

Understand

[edit]

Just like many other Christopher Nolan films, Tenet has a convoluted timeline. The main premise is that people and objects can go through a "turnstile" and invert, to move backwards in time.

The Protagonist, whose name is never revealed to the audience, is an American intelligence operator who is recruited to an organization named Tenet, purposed to prevent a disaster which would end the known timeline. His main adversary is Sator, who grew up in the Soviet Union and made a fortune as he encounters the inversion technology under the disguise of the remains of Soviet nuclear technology.
