Diary of a female founder seeking 1M investment pre-seed for FemTech - It's dawning on me that I might be insane for trying. Angelika Birk, Beate Rosenthal, Ellen K. Fischer, Svenja Lassen Ida Tin what do you think? Come with me on my journey from idea to pre-seed funding! This will be a series pretty much live as I go though the process. Tag who could be interested. What happend so far? I went to a conference and studied regulatory developments in my field and 🥁 🥁 🥁 I had an idea. If said regulation was lifted, a new market would open. It's a first mover topic and I am hyped. I fall in love 💘 with the idea. Before I propose to get married to the idea though (e.g. invest a lot of time and money) I talk to my co-founder and we decide how much "time budget" I can allocate to the idea over the next 31 days. On day 31 we will deecide with the traffic light system if the idea gets another 31 days 💚 💛 💔 So, in order to pitch my idea I need slides - FAST! I type up the voice line as I am pretty strong with words and send it to Christian Völlinger at Virtual Entity and without a CI, without any visuals or anything other than my voice line and basically in no time (4 days including a weekend) he whips out a pitch deck that can look for it's likes. It's SMASHING! I win over 2 doctors, an owner of a software development company and a marketer over the weekend and have a first investor who sits on a 100M fund lined up for today. I sit in the meeting and they pull a no show. WOW. That feeling when you're in love but the love is not returned. As I type this I am picking up my 👑 , dusting myself off and moving on for the next possibility that might come my way. I don't dwell on rejection. AND THEN: my phone rings. It's the investor. A perfect Startup- but is it born in the wrong country? If a Startup have a solution to a big and easy understandable problem, and you have international patent rights for it, you have a pole position if your potential customers wants to buy it! If you have made a prototype (MVP), and manage to design-engineer-produce your product and establish an international production and logistic solution, you are ready to grow! If your international market is huge, you just need the right strategy, price point, margins and team to grow fast! If you have all of this, sales D2C is growing, and the investors still sit on the fence, what’s wrong? In Dropracks all of this is in place, and I have spoken with houndreds of investors in and outside of Norway since we started in 2015, but its very hard to get them onboard. We have patents, ISO standard OEM level production with substantial capacity, OEM customers, a huge 800 BUSD market, customers lined up, distribution lined up, ready for SEMA again in 2024… It seems like investors in Norway don’t focus on the international Outdoor-Automotive market, and in the US it seems like the investors don’t have an interest in Startups from Norway. It supports video generation up to 1080p resolution, offering up to 50 videos at 480p per month on the Plus plan, with higher usage limits and longer durations on the Pro plan. The platform includes advanced features such as a storyboard tool for precise frame-by-frame prompts, video aspect ratio customization (widescreen, vertical, square), and the ability to blend, extend, or generate entirely new videos using text, images, or video inputs. A community feed highlights featured and recent creations. Sora prioritizes safety and transparency through built-in safeguards, including visible watermarks by default, C2PA metadata for content verification, and strict moderation policies against deepfakes and harmful content. ❓ Should you even write about launching your website as a startup? My first instinct was: no. Plenty of reasons against, but mostly around not wanting people to think we are wasting precious time and energy on something that's basically standard. However: Launching a startup website is not about finding an inexpensive web company to build something. It forced us to distill our purpose, summarize our offering, and make sure our messaging is clear. Not just to the world, but also internally and as aligment between founders and early collaborators. That's definitely not standard, and happy to share the result 😀 So here it is: the Scanvio Medical webpage. I have been involved in startups since 2012 and am currently working on my revolutionary startup UchGuch. Among consultants, I often meet the opinion that a startup team needs to focus on one idea. But this is contrary to the skills of a startup team, if you meet a cool startup team, they can quickly come up with and validate ideas and this is their main task in the market, that's why they are looking for investments, to create a team that will develop a failed successful idea. But practically none of the available tools on the market allows a startup team to register or apply for all the ideas they have in the pipeline at once. Often startups themselves burn out as the graveyard of hypotheses grows. If a startup team cannot recognize in time that their hypothesis is not promising and honestly tell the investor about it, a lot of money will be spent and there will be a lot of frustration for everyone. Lucas-Nülle, a German company, leading the market of educational equipment production, understood that integrating AI into training systems is mandatory to avoid market irrelevance. Educational companies that have not yet adopted AI have already lost the race.
