This Year's Key Milestones in Mobile Driver's License (mDL) Development: 📋 ISO 18013-7 Standard Publication. The new standard enables standardized remote verification of mobile driver's licenses, opening new possibilities for digital identity authentication. 🇪🇺 European Digital Identity Wallet Breakthrough. The European Commission adopted technical standards for cross-border Digital Identity Wallets, bringing the EU closer to implementing a comprehensive digital identity ecosystem that supports ISO 18013 standard-based digital IDs. 🇺🇸 Accelerating mDL Adoption in the United States. More states are rolling out digital IDs, giving residents greater flexibility in choosing their preferred digital wallet platforms. Great news! 🥁 California driver’s licenses and state IDs can now be added to Apple Wallet, enabling residents to seamlessly and securely add and present their IDs using iPhone or Apple Watch!
