  • UK: Sponsor UK System to replace Sponsor Management System? 🇬🇧 The UK Home Office is planning to replace the existing Sponsor Management System (SMS) with the Sponsor UK System. This new platform is set to modernize and streamline the process for companies sponsoring international workers. What’s new with Sponsor UK? ➝ A more user-friendly interface for managing sponsorship tasks online. ➝ Improved compliance monitoring with real-time data access. ➝ New notification features to ensure sponsors are reminded of important deadlines, like visa renewals and compliance checks. ➝ Faster and more efficient processes for sponsorship license applications and renewals. The platform is already in use for GAE (Government Authorised Exchange) applications. A full implementation date hasn't been announced but will likely take place by March 2025. 🗓 Unsure about the changes? The innovative work environment quickly inspired me to join the team full-time. Between my time as a consultant and becoming part of Jobbatical’s team, it’s been almost four years. Managing security these days is demanding, and doing it in a decentralized business environment adds an extra layer of difficulty. Imagine not having a dedicated location to run services from or even an office to work in. Working together when your team is spread across different places in the world is challenging. Not only from a security perspective but also in maintaining team spirit. Fortunately, I’m not someone who enjoys easy challenges. I’ve learned to benefit from a decentralized environment and turn its challenges into opportunities. Since joining Jobbatical, we’ve made an exceptional effort to improve our security processes.     Meet Angie M. Ryan, our Growth & Business Development Leader! Moving all the way from Costa Rica to Estonia without ever even visiting the country sounds quite scary. Or is it? 🤔 Not for Angie! 🌟 Six and a half years ago, she relocated to Tallinn to join Jobbatical and the team that made relocating across continents feel like a piece of cake. Now, she's leading the way to help other professionals do the same. "Back in 2018, I took a leap into the unknown and moved from Costa Rica, my home country, to Estonia—a country I had never been to before. I’d heard stories of long, freezing winters, so you can imagine my surprise when I arrived in the middle of one of the hottest summers on record, with temperatures of 32°C! What truly stood out to me, though, was how easy my relocation process was. Jobbatical and the people who are now my team made it feel so effortless that I sometimes forget I even went through a relocation process at all.
