Position Summary:
This position primarily focused on servicing the accounts, communicating with fleet and responsible for providing logistics support.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
Interact with drivers and customers
Determine appropriate trucks for back haul use
Schedule loads with suppliers and provide appropriate release numbers to suppliers' and transportation.
Confirm prior day pick-ups reschedule if necessary
Respond to receiving inquiries and update system and suppliers.
Assist with inventory when required
Coordinate monitor back-hauls via collaboration with local fleet
Verify as well as validate light loads and document.
Investigate detentions complete supplier incident report
Coordinate pickups communicate to mill buyer any action required
Update freight rates on a weekly basis if applicable
Work with events and collector organizations to ensure seamless execution of pick-ups and supplies deliveries, as well as provide support and guidance
Generate reports, monitor performance, perform trend and data analysis
Resolve invoice discrepancies and validate invoicing for related service providers
Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
Follow all company safety guidelines.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences:
College degree or High School diploma with equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in transportation and logistics.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing operations, recycling industry, and/or supply chain logistics preferred
Highly organized and detail oriented with strong analytical capabilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Access, Word)
Bilingual in Spanish an asset
Professional Attitude & conduct to co-workers, supervisors and the public at all times.
Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by PRATT Safety and OSHA.
Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required.
Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Be flexible to the needs of our business, as we continually strive to meet and exceed the needs of our customers.
