*OVERVIEW:* This position is responsible for providing technical support and assisting in maintaining and troubleshooting a multi-location network infrastructure.
This individual will also assist other support staff in providing routine maintenance of computer hardware, software and peripherals in a multi-location environment.
*DUTIES:* • Diagnose network servers, switches and network software issues • Participate in the overall technical support process - providing remote, phone and desk level technical support as needed.
• Assist in the assignment of user accounts across several systems • Repair Hardware and peripherals as needed • Train and/or demonstrate to staff new processes, procedures, and hardware/software operations • Perform maintenance tasks on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis • Gather and report information/statistics about current parts/supply needs • Record all technical support issues completed into a service request tracking system.
Thoroughly document the solutions utilized to further serve as an internal knowledge base • Assist in the maintenance and the record upkeep of a centralized inventory database.
• Generate and maintain appropriate systems documentation/diagrams • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues • Communicate with vendors and partners orally, in written form or in person as needed • Assist in disaster recover strategy • Work hours outside regular office hours may be required.
• Performs related duties as assigned *JOB COMPENTENCIES:* · Experience with Windows Server technologies (2008/2012) including Active Directory and MS Exchange · Technician level proficiency with all Windows desktop operating system versions.
· Superior knowledge of systems hardware including memory modules, mirco-processors, video adapters, motherboards and other · Experience troubleshooting and maintaining network Laser printers and enterprise class multi-function devices · Experience using imaging software such as Acronis, Symantec Ghost or FOG in a network environment · Proficiency with all Microsoft Office suites · Knowledge of network cable installation, termination and patch cable termination · Ability to operate office equipment including computer, calculator, fax, copier and scanner · Previous experience in IP telephony using Asterisk a plus · Superior customer service skills and desk-side manner required · Professional manner to effectively represent the organization by maintaining a positive, businesslike image and work with staff, management and customers in a polite, tactful and positive professional way at all times.
· Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis · Must have good organizational skills and be able to conform to a schedule for work activities and tasks.
· Must be able to work independently yet meet specific deadlines.
Must be able to deal effectively with professional staff and, on occasion, customers in a flexible yet efficient manner.
· Assists in planning, developing, and implementing WorkOne processes in all locations · Provides day to day informal and formal program monitoring.
· Contributes to WorkOne system effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
· Technician level proficiency with all Windows desktop operating system versions.
· Must have strong working knowledge Linux systems and protocols · Superior knowledge of systems hardware including memory modules, micro-processors, video adapters, motherboards and other · Work Experience Requirements · Five years’ experience in computer operations, systems networking or maintenance (higher education may substitute for part of the experience).
Demonstrated experience in managing work flow and supervising other technicians.
*ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:* · Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
A combination of an associate degree with comparable work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree.
Industry certifications such as A+/Network+/MCTS/MCP are a plus.
· Three to five years’ experience in computer operations, systems networking or maintenance (higher education may substitute for part of the experience).
· Demonstrated experience in managing workflow and supervising other technicians.
· Must have a car, valid driver's license, and insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 and be able to travel.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $60,000.
