Dwyer Workforce Development offers a holistic approach to job training and placement for individuals who lack opportunity and aspire to pursue a rewarding career in the healthcare industry. Through our mission, our nonprofit also helps to alleviate the severe healthcare workforce shortage and improve the lives of seniors in the communities we serve.
The U.S. population is aging rapidly, and more jobs caring for seniors are being created every day — a lot more. However, supply cannot keep up with demand and the majority of long-term care facilities have reported staff shortages, which can decrease the quality of senior healthcare. By focusing our workforce development efforts on the senior healthcare industry, we’re helping underserved individuals find lucrative and long-term careers that positively impact their lives. In turn, these individuals impact the communities they reside in and the lives of the seniors they care for. It’s a mission that keeps on giving—for everyone.
Dwyer Workforce Development was launched by Jack and Nancy Dwyer, and their daughters, Emily Dwyer Dillon and Kelsey Dwyer Baker, in 2021 as part of the family’s commitment to giving back to their communities.
As Owner and Founder of Capital Funding Group and CFG Bank – two companies with a strong presence in the healthcare market – Jack has seen firsthand the hardships those in the nursing profession face and the need for improved senior care.
