Sovran Building Systems is seeking masons & laborers for the Tallahassee & surrounding area's.
Laborer ($16-$22) Position Description:
-Load and unload materials
-Move and stock materials
-Use mixer to make mortar
-Erect and use scaffolding correctly
-Cut stone, brick and block according to specifications
-Perform site clean-up
-Complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent
-Working conditions include lifting and placing heavy material such as blocks that weigh more than 40 lbs.
, working at height,and working outdoors
-The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch
-This is not a complete list of activities or responsibilities that will be required
Masons ($25-$30) Job Description:
-Enforce safety rules and regulations on and off job site
-Use concrete blocks, bricks, and stones to build walls, facades, fireplaces, chimneys and other structures
-Read and interpret plans and drawings as they pertain to masonry work
-Lay out work using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares and levels
-Move and stock materials
-Use mixer to make mortar
-Erect and use scaffolding correctly
-Measure and cut stone, brick and block according to specifications
-Lay the block, brick or stone using the proper pattern, such as running bond or stack bond
-Inspect subordinate’s work for compliance and/or deficiencies
-Perform site clean-up
-Complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent
-Working conditions include lifting and placing heavy material such as blocks that weigh more than 40 lbs.
