Beautifully mellow, the instrumentals are seldom explosive and the pace is gentle, with satisfying exceptions when the song swells in a grand tone. It’s a slow-burn kind of metal I've never experienced, well worth steeping yourself into on a quiet afternoon.

This is the album that started it all and matters the most. Growing up in the Armenian Orthodox Church, the liturgical passages were nostalgic. Then, the blast beats, distorted guitars and black metal screams work synergistically with the choir, creating something unique and special that the black metal scene hasn't heard before. Highly recommended!
