Thank you for your interest in participating in the Meet with Translated Captions Beta program.
When developing new products and features, Google often makes them available first through a Pre-General Availability program to help develop and test the product/feature and get feedback from users before making them available to all users.
This Beta introduces a feature that allows end users to use Live translated captions for Meet (the “Test Product”). Our goal is to enable meetings and classrooms to be more global, inclusive and effective by removing language ability as a barrier to collaboration. This feature helps video call participants better communicate by translating a spoken language to captions in another language. This feature currently supports meetings in English translated to Spanish, French, German and Portuguese. Please note that for the duration of the beta test some supported languages may not have the highest translation quality and may not be available outside of the beta.
To be eligible to participate in the Beta Program, please note the following:
1. You must be a super admin of the Google Workspace domain specified in this form
2. Participation is granted for a single domain per application
3. You should be on one of the following SKUs
- Business Plus
- Enterprise Standard
- Enterprise Plus
- Education Teaching & Learning Upgrade
- Education Plus
4. If you do not subscribe to one of the SKUs listed in (3), you may still participate in the beta; however when the beta program finishes, you will not be able to continue to use the feature unless you change your subscription to one of the SKUs defined in (3).
Specific Test Terms
This Pre-General Availability Test Application (the “Test Application”), is incorporated into and made part of the Google Workspace Agreement, the Google Workspace Services Schedule to the Google Cloud Master Agreement, Google Workspace for Education Agreement, or other applicable agreement governing your use of Google Workspace Services (the "Agreement'). By submitting this Test Application, you will be enrolling your domain in the Pre-General Availability Program being run by the Google Workspace team for the described Test Product. You and your end users’ use of the Test Product is subject to the "Pre-General Availability Offerings Terms'' section of the Google Workspace Service Specific Terms (available at
https://workspace.google.com/terms/service-terms or a successor URL). Customer instructs Google to process data as outlined in this Test Application and the Specific Test Terms.
When launched, translated captions in Google Meet will use a meeting’s invitation, participant names, attachments, etc. to improve the accuracy and identify meeting specific jargon without any human involvement. This means no one at Google ever sees the Meeting content and the models are automatically deleted after each meeting. Google doesn’t use or store this data for improving its own UI
To use the feature and help develop the Test Product, we need to collect data, including but are not limited to:
- Workspace Apps usage metrics, such as the number of times the captions were enabled
- Translated captions config (spoken and display language)
- When audio is turned on / off
- Language set on the Workspace account
- Language set on device
- Calendar timezone

The Test Product is in an early developmental stage and still being refined and may not always work as intended. By submitting this Test Application, you acknowledge this and any associated risks. In the event of a conflict between this Test Application and the Google Workspace ToS, or other agreement, this Test Application will govern.
