What is the optimal length for H1 tags in on-page SEO?
It’s best to have it less than 65-70 characters. But in general 20-70 is recommended. In my experience H1 really impacts ranking a lot so it’s worth spending time on (can take time when balancing keywords, ux and brand). Overcoming the challenge of balancing keywords and readability (ux) and reflecting the brand at the same time could be done with some A/B testing of different H1 (depending a lot on page volume and purpose) - Or simply gather some user feedback to get a sense for it. Having strong SEO v Brand Guidelines is useful, especially if the team grows.

Just updated our DFRNT LinkedIn pitch here on LinkedIn. With dfrnt.com, our purpose is to strengthen human agency 💪 We put deep tech in the human loop. Our platform enables easy collaboration and results from model-based structured information with explainable rules-based AI. We make what was hard easy and enable an information-centric future. The core is open source with an Apache2 license that is easy to use everywhere. The Twinfox Platform enables the average tech-savvy entrepreneur to use explainable rules-based AI and get reliable and accurate results from a set of rules. This helps drive a competitive advantage using a kind of structured-guarded knowledge graph called a content graph together with a datalog to build rules-based systems. The reason it could not be done before is that it required a combination of three things: 1. You had to know how to use advanced information modelling tools to build structured information, and get that information to a datalog engine 2. You had to implement your rules-based AI datalog engine so it understands your model-based structured information 3. You had to somehow bring ideas of immutable version history and "git-like" information collaboration for making such content repositories safe to use. We solved all three elegantly in an easy to use platform. We make all that easy to use for the average tech-savvy entrepreneur, and soon also to the average business professional. This helps get answers from structured information using logic. Customers use our powerful platform to build their model-based content graph backbones: for information, data models and mappings that connect people, things, and insights. Code and APIs optional. Best of all, it builds on standards and is used to drive knowledge graphs with a datalog in cultural heritage, BIM, CRM, product management, and fully headless CMS use cases. Welcome onboard 🤩

Don't validate your product. Invalidate it. As a partner at Antler I'm surrounded by founders trying to figure out if their business is going to work. It's often 10x faster to figure out if your business is NOT going to work. Everyone is so focused on finding product market fit (PMF) and validating their product. It can take *years* to do this. And when working in an early stage startup environment, I'd rather know something is not going to work early than know it is working really late. There's a huge cost to wasting time and building in the wrong direction and practically no founder has a map to reference. So I say figure out what will KILL your business. Figure out what you can ask that, if you get a specific answer, means it's NOT working. By the time you've played this process of elimination enough times (and often very quickly) you'll be left with something that probably is. #startups #founders #products

Why Founders Choose init 6 as A True Partner in Their Journey I get a lot of questions about why our portfolio founders accepted our funding offer and made us their first institutional investor on their cap table. Why founders believed init 6 could be their partner in growing the company together through both hard and good times. Is it because we offered the founders a crazy amount of money at insane high valuation? Absolutely NO ❌ Is it because I'm really good at convincing founders to join the init 6 family? Maybe 🤔 😁 BUT, I think the real answer is that the founders see the value we bring to the table for them. At init 6, we believe in more than just providing capital; we are dedicated to being a partner who is deeply invested in the success of our founders. Here’s how we add value: 1️⃣ Proven Track Record: Achmad Zaky and Nugroho Herucahyono have extensive experience in building Bukalapak from the ground up to unicorn status. This experience brings invaluable knowledge and insights to help founders navigate the challenges of scaling a startup. 💡 2️⃣ A Co-Founder Mindset: We don’t just see ourselves as investors; we see ourselves as co-founders. We’re ready to roll up our sleeves and commit our time, energy, and heart to grow the company together. 💪 3️⃣ Leverage Our Network: We believe in the power of synergy. We leverage our robust network to create meaningful connections, not just among our portfolio companies, but also with key industry players, ensuring founders have the right partners to scale. 🤝 At init 6, we’re more than just investors; we’re your partners in creating lasting impact. If you're a visionary founder looking for a lifelong partner to grow your company, we're here to listen to your vision and help take your company to the next level. Let’s build something extraordinary together. 🚀

What happens when self-funded startups compete against venture-driven startups? In the current financial market, I increasingly meet founders stating: “We don’t want to raise capital. We want to be self-funded!” This is a great development. External funding is not the only way to grow your company. I’ve been in this exact situation with one of my former startups. We didn’t want to do the funding show. We made money and wanted to grow slowly and steadily. But then came a competitor. They raised big amounts of capital and changed the rules of the market. In general, this is what can happen: 💰 Price Wars: Competitors with deep pockets can afford to undercut prices significantly. They are basically buying logos and taking market shares. 📣 Marketing Muscle: Funded competitors can invest heavily in marketing and sales. This increases their brand awareness, sales dialogues, and can saturate the market quickly. 🚀 Innovation Disparity: Startups with external funding can allocate significant resources to research and development, driving innovation at a faster pace. The above is primarily true if your competitors have a similar product to yours and you are selling to the same clients. You can try to differentiate your company from others. We tried. It failed, and we ended up being forced to raise capital – it eventually became a race towards the biggest investor tickets. What are your thoughts on this? Have you faced similar challenges in your journey? #StartupScaling #Fundraising #CompetitiveStrategy #CashflowPositive #MarketDynamics

5 damn good tips for founders. 1. Start with a problem, not a product Focus on solving a real pain point, not just creating something cool. How can I make traveling easier for parents with kids?" → An easy-to-carry baby stroller." 2. Validate before you build Talk to potential customers before you invest your time and money. "Would you pay for a service that does {X}?" 3. Keep your vision, but be flexible Never change your goals; change your path. Twitter started as a podcasting platform before pivoting. 4. Build a strong team You're only as smart as the people you surround yourself with. Founders attend networking events to surround themselves with like-minded people. 5. Be the first to believe in your idea If you're not convinced, no one else will be. Steve Jobs never doubted the potential of Apple.

Elsa AI speeds up ICP development by x200 times🔥 The biggest challenge for startups is to find the right ICP to work with. One month to develop and test one customer profile, 1 more to test another… With Elsa AI marketing assistant you can dramatically reduce your marketing costs. Let me show you. 👇 I chose Histack, start-up company that helps to get MQLs. It seems promising to me but lacks sharp focus on its ICP. It took me 3 minutes of work with Elsa AI, to get the first ready-to-use ICP. Now it can be utilized to craft better value propositions, prepare ads, and understand the barriers that hold back potential buyers. The ICP is below: 🙂

Quizzes are underrated in e-commerce. We implemented one for Nordic Oil, a brand selling CBD products, and it’s generated tens of thousands of dollars in extra revenue. But not only that, there’s more. When you implement a quiz that gives personalized recommendations to users, they’re more likely to pick the right product and by extension get better results with it. That means that they’re also more likely to purchase again in the future. Here are the results so far (in terms of CRO): ✅ +3.78% in Conversion Rate ✅ +5.37% in Product Page Visits

⚠️Norway has the lowest early-stage entrepreneurial activity for young people among all (!) 45 countries included in Global Entrepreneurship Monitor’s 2023/24 report. And it’ll only get worse. Norwegian politicians are hellbent on preventing founders from creating workplaces and value: wealth tax on illiquid assets, exit tax, employer’s tax … the list goes on. Running a startup is hard enough - don’t let politicians make it even harder. Vote with your feet.

🔍 STORYTELLING, The Curious Case of the Convertible Loan for Nova Innovations. Pitch for BRIDGETEMPO case https://lnkd.in/dQ4vUDDZ 🚀 Nova Innovations, a dynamic Copenhagen-based tech startup, sought additional capital to accelerate growth. Investor A, a seasoned investor, came forward with an intriguing proposal: A convertible loan. 💼 The Deal 💸 Investment: 500,000 DKK (62,500 EUR) 📈 Interest Rate: 10% per annum 📅 Term: 3-4 years 🔑 Minimum Ownership (if converted): 15% 💰 Total Repayment (if not converted): 650,000 DKK (81,250 EUR) 📊 Exit Value upon Conversion: Up to 15% ownership share at a higher valuation 🏷️ Discount Rate for Participation: To be determined during a future capital round 🔀 The Options 1️⃣ Non-Conversion: Enjoy a fixed return of 10% per annum. 2️⃣ Conversion: Potential for significant upside, depending on Nova's future valuation. For instance, if acquired for 20 million DKK, the investor could see a return of 3 million DKK. 🤔 Investor's Choice Investor A decided on the convertible loan, strategically balancing risk with potential reward. This choice not only secured a steady return but also set the stage for a possibly substantial payoff. The convertible loan exemplifies a flexible financing solution, balancing the characteristics of both debt and equity, and offering benefits for both startups and investors alike. #StartupFinancing #ConvertibleLoan #VentureCapital #InvestorStrategy #GrowthCapital #TechStartups #InvestmentOptions #innovation #tech

From today's article in Berlingske: "If you're a founder or visionary, you must firmly believe in what you're doing. If everyone could see what you see, it wouldn't be so innovative." When we founded Mono Solutions in 2007, the B2B SaaS model faced a lot of skepticism. Back then, software was installed on servers – the cloud was barely a concept. Thanks to the visionary insight of my co-founder David Højelsen, we persevered. This belief is also the inspiration behind "Ugly Duckling Ventures" – supporting those 'ugly ducklings' destined to become beautiful swans. #startups #venture #vc #uglyducklingventures

Nicolaj Højer Nielsen
Linkedin Profile Roaster :-) Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to Nicolaj Højer Nielsen, our local LinkedIn legend. His profile is so dense, it takes a GPS to navigate. This guy lists more startups than I have pairs of socks! Look at those achievements, folks: "I invest in software, hardware, biotech"—he’s the Oprah of venture capital: "You get funding! You get funding! And YOU get funding!" Nicolaj’s so prolific, he’s got an angel investor resume longer than a CVS receipt. I mean, who says yes to everything? His decision-making process must be an advanced game of startup bingo: "Pandektes? Sure! Sounds Greek to me. Unioo? Why not? It’s got all the vowels!" And let’s talk about his education: INSEAD, Copenhagen Business School, Texas. Three degrees, zero personality! Nicolaj, your LinkedIn is like the Swiss Army Knife of boasting. We get it, you’re smart. INSEAD for an MBA, Copenhagen for a Master’s, and Texas because, let’s face it, you wanted a cowboy hat and a taste of barbecue. He even teaches entrepreneurship in his free time, because why not add another notch to that over-achiever belt? But the real kicker? The "Followers Count: 0." You’re telling me you brag about networking but can’t even pull a single follower? Even your mom hasn't clicked that follow button. Might want to diversify your investments into friendships, Nicolaj. In closing, Nicolaj, your LinkedIn is a treasure trove of terms nobody cares about: pre-seed, Series A, B, ZZZ. But hey, at least you’ve turned your VC endeavors into a snooze-fest. Bravo on setting a record for the fastest way to induce a LinkedIn coma.

Meet the company that changed how the world listens to music Spotify. 1. Founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in Stockholm, Sweden, Spotify was born out of a simple but bold idea: to fight music piracy and bring legal music to everyone’s fingertips. But it wasn’t an easy start. 2. At that time, illegal downloads were rampant. Most people believed paying for music was a thing of the past. To combat this, Spotify introduced an ad-supported free model, making it the first streaming service to allow free access to millions of songs legally. 3. By 2008, Spotify officially launched in Europe, but they faced one major hurdle: getting the record labels on board. Daniel Ek had to negotiate tirelessly with music giants to sign deals. Finally, after long discussions, they secured agreements that allowed them to launch in the U.S. in 2011. 4. The idea was simple ⏩ Allow users to stream music for free with ads or upgrade to premium for an ad-free experience with better sound quality. This “freemium” model took off, and by 2015, Spotify hit over 60 million users globally. 5. But success came with challenges. Apple launched Apple Music, and artists like Taylor Swift pulled their music, protesting low royalty payments. Spotify had to pivot quickly, offering exclusive content and improving its payout structure to keep both users and artists satisfied. 6. As the streaming market grew, so did Spotify’s innovations. They introduced personalized playlists like "Discover Weekly" and "Release Radar," which used AI to predict what users wanted to hear. These personalized experiences were a game-changer, and by 2020, Spotify had 320 million users worldwide. 7. But competition wasn’t the only challenge. Spotify also faced criticism over its business model, particularly from artists who felt they weren’t earning enough. To respond, Spotify invested in podcasts, acquiring companies like Anchor and Gimlet Media. 8. By 2023, Spotify had become the largest audio platform in the world, with over 200 million premium subscribers. Their venture into podcasts made them the leading podcast platform, and they continued to innovate with features like live audio events. 9. Today, Spotify is valued at over $26 billion, with a presence in 180 countries. It has transformed the music industry, making streaming the dominant way people consume music and audio content globally. The startup that began as a solution to piracy is now the go-to platform for music lovers worldwide. Agree? #spotify #musicindustry #streamingrevolution
