It is more evident than ever, that data represents both tremendous opportunities – think about unlocking medical breakthroughs without privacy fears - and liabilities – think someone can identify your identity from “anonymized data”.    The advent of generative models has shown how data can be (mis)used to generate results few would have believed just 5 years ago. Data is arguably a crucial component fuelling this. But neither “setting data free” nor “fencing data” is necessarily the right answer to the excitement and concerns we are witnessing now. Data privacy – think your health data or spending data – is about protecting you as an individual. While your data could help others, e.g., clinical trial data, it cannot be expected that you feel comfortable giving others access to your sensitive data.    We are looking for a co-founder and CEO, who wants to shape and build a startup addressing just that. The Vision is to implement a solution based on mathematical theory, which allows us to generate synthetic data without compromising data quality and performance in terms of analyses. The Vision is to ease and democratize the exchange of personal data, by significantly and provably lowering the risk of re-identification using solid mathematical privacy models.    You will preferably have a solid tech-entrepreneurial background, leadership skills, and good at communicating and motivating a team. You would have a passion to see science applied to solve hard problems. You will work with some of the leading researchers in the field.
