📢 Maersk continued to deliver strong business performance in the third quarter with growth across all business segments and financial results significantly above last year. On the back of the strong quarter combined with robust container market demand and the continuation of the Red Sea situation, on October 21 we upgraded our guidance for 2024. 🚢 Ocean delivered substantially increased profitability and responded to the recurring network disruptions with high agility by leveraging our hub terminals and investing in capacity and equipment to mitigate the supply chain impact on our customers. 🚚 Logistics & Services delivered a strong quarter with revenue growth due to increased volumes across most product families and continued steady recovery of profitability. 🏗️ Terminals continued to deliver strong revenue growth, particularly in North America where volume remained strong. Both volume and revenue per move reached all-time highs during the quarter. ✈️ Maersk Air Cargo A/S air freight services now extends to Liege Airport in Belgium, centrally located around our main customer base and linked to multimodal transport solutions in the European region. "Air freight plays a crucial role by adding flexibility, speed, and resilience to the increasingly complex global supply chains. Having strategically placed hubs is key to moving cargo quickly and reliably, and we're excited to expand our services to Liege." says Narin Phol, Chief Product Officer at Maersk. Liege Airport is unique, as it mainly serves full cargo freighter operation 24-hours a day. Once our second 777F freighter has been delivered, Maersk will operate 7 flights per week into and from Liege.
