Yesterday, we had an amazing time at the PortoTech Hub Conference! 🚀 Our Porto team had the privilege of attending the biggest tech conference in Porto, and it was a day to remember. This event was a fantastic opportunity to boost our brand awareness, exchange experiences and knowledge, and connect with like-minded professionals 🤝 Did you know that Porto is home to the only dedicated software development center of ISS A/S? That's right! With 65 passionate team members, our investment in tech here is significant. 💻 We're on a mission to become the tech leader in the facility management industry, and we're always on the lookout for talented individuals to join us 🌟 A big thank you to Porto Tech Hub for organizing such an incredible event, to our colleagues who represented our company so well, and to everyone who visited our stand. ⭐ Yesterday, the Porto team had a fun internal meetup! ⭐ Knowing how important good presentations are, they teamed up with Douro Toastmasters Club to boost their public speaking skills. And wow, what a success it was! Everyone really stepped out of their comfort zones and nailed some improv exercises ✨ This meetup was a great chance for them to pick up tips and practice for all-hands meetings, product showcases, and other formal presentations. It helped them feel more confident and recognize their strengths and areas to improve. On October 29 and 30, ISS Facility Services España hosted the ISS Hackathon 2024, a global event promoted by ISS Spain with the aim of improving the technologies used in our services. The event was chaired by Markus Sontheimer, our Group CIDO, and Stella Alamil, our Regional CIO. We were also privileged to have Accenture join us, emphasizing the critical importance of prioritizing customer needs 🚀   A total of 35 colleagues from our Innovation Hubs in #Porto and #Warsaw, along with IT teams from #Spain, participated in this exciting challenge. And that’s a wrap! 🤯 This year, we had the opportunity to attend Web Summit Lisbon and we’re super excited about how it all went! ✨ The event provided an incredible opportunity to stay updated on tech trends, network, and actively engage with the audience. Isabel Geriante, our IT Branding and Community Specialist, represented us alongside Guilherme Braz, from Blip.pt, and Pedro Santa Clara, from 42 Porto, in an insightful discussion on the future of talent development. 🧑💻 The talk, titled “Tech It or Leave It: 42 Porto x Blip x ISS Tech,” emphasized the critical role of collaboration in nurturing talent within the tech market and showcased diverse perspectives on this topic. We’re pleased to share that ISS continues to deliver robust financial results and continued business improvements. Kasper Fangel, Group CEO of ISS A/S, says: “I’m pleased that in the third quarter, we sustained organic growth, achieving 5.5% for the first nine months of 2024. In addition, our operating margin and free cash flow developed as expected due to ongoing operational improvements across the business. Commercially, we have made strong efforts to secure further extensions of several longstanding customer relationships. Additionally, we have taken steps to leverage our market opportunities through targeted initiatives and higher quality-execution.
