🤖💼🌍 What do AI and Ozempic have in common? Quite a bit! Among other things, the fact that both phenomena have a greater impact than expected. And few admit (how much) they use it! 📈🤫 That's how it sounds in an interesting article by the American businessman, author, professor @Scott Galloway, we came across earlier this year. In the article, he has three points worth considering: 1️⃣ GLP-1 drugs and artificial intelligence (AI) have quite a bit in common. Both innovations have the potential to create broader prosperity by solving problems, but they can also exacerbate existing inequalities. Just as GLP-1 drugs can improve the health of those who can afford them but may not necessarily reach those who need them the most, AI in companies can increase productivity and profits, but at the same time increase inequality, as not everyone necessarily can invest in AI. 2️⃣ Restraint in acknowledging AI's role in companies. Many companies, especially tech companies, have been hesitant to acknowledge AI's role in firings and job function automation. Even though AI has been shown to increase efficiency and earnings, corporate leaders are not always willing to admit that they use AI to downsize their workforce. 🤔 The reason may be fear of negative public opinion or a lack of understanding of AI's full potential. 3️⃣ Expected changes in the job market due to AI. According to Scott Galloway, AI will lead to significant changes in the job market, where automation and job loss will be unavoidable. But at the same time, AI will also create new job opportunities and business models. 🔄 While some jobs may be made redundant by AI, there will still be a need for human labor to develop, implement, and monitor AI systems. Therefore, companies and society will need to adapt to these changes to leverage AI's potential fully.
