How do I navigate these coming months ? And how I compare and benchmark the carriers' performance ? No doubt the coming months will be chaotic, with alliances phasing in and out, and with a bit of Chinese New Year on top. So almost everyone we talk to these days are trying to gauge how it'll impact them; from port and terminals, to BCOs and logistics providers. And what their options are. At eeSea we track the networks and schedules down to minute details, including the drip feeding of information from carriers. And that enables us to answer the initial question very granularly; which services and vessels will come to your port or be available in your port pair specifically on which dates. Including phase in/out, delays, omissions and blank sailings. It's a really powerful tool to have available in a volatile world, where you cannot and should not track each little detail yourself. Premier Alliance's network roll-out is not running entirely smoothly. As the below article from Destine outlines, not only have the carriers not been 100% synced up in their roll-out of the online schedules, but now FMC has also decided to ask more questions. Realistically, they'll overcome those obstacles, but crunch time is nearing, and so it'll be busy days in Singapore, Taipei, Seoul - and Geneva, as MSC partners on several of these services. #premieralliance #one #hmm #yml #msc #containershipping

Hapag-Lloyd AG has officially opened up bookings for Gemini Co-Op voyages, and allowed us to discover actual vessel deployments beginning as early as February. We've been combing through the schedules since Monday and busily adding vessel assignments, forecasts, and trade cap details into our database as they roll in. Exciting news! Hapag-Lloyd AG has released a Beta of their new Schedules UI and promises eagerly anticipated updates on upcoming Gemini Cooperation voyages by the end of December. While sailings and berth arrival/departure times aren't set in stone yet, we've got all the updated routes and schedules available on our app and continue to make adjustments as they roll in. A week ago, I had the pleasure of participating in a joint town hall with two customers, Stolt Tank Containers and Hapag-Lloyd AG. I was asked to do a brief intro on the alliance landscape and share some thoughts about the hub and spoke concept, as well as the much-touted 90% reliability promise. The question I hear all the time is whether it's possible. Is 90% reliability doable - and how far are the carriers from that, now ? My first answer usually is that we don't even know how Gemini define 90% yet. But then, we can make some assumptions and infer a combined schedule reliability. Confirmed that Canadian West Coast operations will resume in #Vancouver and #PrinceRupert @ 08h00 LT today. A.P. Moller - Maersk has also posted a considerate play-by-play of when their vessel operations are slated to recommence. With vessels no longer riding the wave of incremental daily delays - the certainty of resumed operations in Canada's terminals and renewed carrier schedules will bring visibility to the true extent of compounded delays in the weeks ahead.
