In this #blog post, we are excited to share some of the projects that our R&D team has been working on over the past few months ⬇️ ❄️Physical Icing Model – We developed a new physical icing regression model to predict power loss caused by icing, even with limited historical data. 🌍 Integration of New NWP Models – We integrated two new European models into our NWP mix, enhancing forecast accuracy and coverage. 🚩 Uncertainty Flagging Forecast – We implemented uncertainty flagging in multiple wind and solar power forecasting setups. ⚡️ New Injection Model – We developed a new improved injection model based on XGBoost, time-based features, and new meteo models. We have developed a new Injection forecast model that shows significant improvements! The Injection forecast provides a solar power forecast considering the self-consumption from local businesses and households ⚡    This concept, also known as "solar PV behind-the-meter" refers to solar PV assets that are not directly connected to the grid and therefore they do not inject 100% of the solar power produced.
