How Can 3D Construction Printing Help Preserve Biodiversity? 3DCP GROUP recently installed #3Dprinted reefs in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, and they’re already brimming with #marinelife - algae, plants, fish, and other organisms. These structures are designed to replicate the natural shapes and textures of coral reefs. Their rough surfaces encourage algae and plants to grow, while hollow spaces provide fish with places to shelter and thrive. And because they’re 3D printed, each design is customizable to fit diverse environments, even allowing attachment to existing harbor structures and other marine areas. This project, a collaboration between 3DCP Group and Københavns Kommune, is just one example of how 3D construction printing can be applied in new and impactful ways, from preserving #biodiversity to sustainable innovations across different landscapes. Where else could 3D printing make an impact? Let us know your thoughts!

ISO/ASTM 52939:2023 represents more than just a new standard - it marks a significant step toward making 3D construction printing a recognized building method. This International Standard provides documented proof that 3D printed structures can meet the construction industry’s structural integrity requirements, helping build trust in this innovative technology. With ISO/ASTM 52939:2023, the approval process for 3D printed structures is now clearer and more accessible, offering a structured set of guidelines that simplifies compliance and strengthens confidence in 3D construction as a practical building solution. Project teams now have a reliable framework that guides the approval process, helping to save time, reduce uncertainties, and increase project efficiency. As more projects adopt this standard, the benefits to the industry will continue to grow. We’re proud to congratulate Harcourt Technologies Ltd on being the first in the world to build under this standard with their social housing project in Grange Close, Dundalk. 🌍 HTL’s achievement - and their well-deserved “Standards Innovation Award” - sets a new benchmark in 3D construction printing. What has been your experience with regulations in 3D construction printing?

The real measure of progress? When those we taught go on to teach others. 👷♀️ 👷♂️ It’s inspiring to see that PERI 3D Construction/ PERI, a longtime COBOD partner, is now using the skills they’ve learned from us to train new companies in the industry. In a recent U.S. project, New Standard Homes' co-founders Rex Rizk and Ryan McLaren are bringing affordable, long-lasting homes to Texas with 3D construction printing. This kind of collaboration is what makes 3D construction printing special – when we support and teach each other, we help the whole industry grow. #3DConstruction #AffordableHousing #FutureOfConstruction
At PERI 3D Construction, we’re not just changing how homes are built – we’re empowering new players in the industry to thrive. Learn about one of our latest projects in the US: Rex Rizk & Ryan McLaren, Co-founder of New Standard Homes, are a prime example of how newcomers are leveraging 3D printing technology to streamline construction and create affordable housing that’s built to last. From planning to execution, we’ve been there every step of the way - providing on-site support, trainings and solutions to upcoming challenges. The future of construction is here, shaped together with the innovative companies that are willing to take their first steps in 3D construction printing. #3dcp #project #interview #3dconstructionprinting #peri #peri3dconstruction #newstandardhomes #cobod

3D construction printing goes far beyond building homes! 🏗️ While residential housing is undoubtedly a key application, we’re proud to see the diverse range of projects our customers have accomplished with this technology. Just last week, we highlighted the impressive footbridge project by minimass and Harcourt Technologies Ltd. But that’s just the beginning. From a social housing initiative by Harcourt Technologies Ltd to a data center by PERI 3D Construction, and from water tanks by Abyan Building Construction Company to a Community House by 3DCP GROUP the versatility of 3D printing is changing the construction industry. What innovative applications do you think 3D construction printing will take on next?

Jonathan Riise, Head of Research and Development and the R&D team developed the #BOD3, a 3D construction printer built to increase project speed and reduce setup times for the 3D printer. In a recent interview, Jonathan shared insights into the development process and highlighted key features, including the Universal X-Carriage – one of the major new developments. He also explored key application areas where the BOD3 is set to enhance efficiency in construction. Curious to learn more about the BOD3? Reach out to us at [email protected], and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you have!

Discover the 3D Printed Footbridge! Big shout-out to minimass and Harcourt Technologies Ltd for demonstrating the potential of 3D construction printing combined with conventional methods with their #3Dprinted footbridge. It is amazing to see the versatile applications of 3D construction printing. From housing to #infrastructure, the potential of #3D construction printing continues to grow, proving that the future of #construction is both innovative and more sustainable.
Our MD, Justin Kinsella, and Director of Operations and Materials, Jandré Oosthuizen, had the privilege of attending the official launch of the minimass 3DCP Footbridge. We’re proud to have contributed to the 3D construction printing of the bridge beams. Using our COBOD International BOD2 printer, we printed the beams with code-compliant RMC from Roadstone Ltd. The beams were then shipped to the UK for installation. The launch day was a fantastic success, made even better by the sunshine and blue skies in Norfolk at Constructionarium Ltd. The bridge and beams will be donated to Constructionarium Ltd. as a valuable resource for students and companies interested in this innovative technology. The design allows for easy disassembly and reassembly, making it a versatile tool for hands-on learning. For more information about the project, visit the minimass LinkedIn page, where founders Andy Coward and Sarah Blake walk you through the process. #3DPrinting #constructioninnovation #HTL #3dcp #lowcarbonbridge #constructioninnovation #designoptimisation

Simon Klint Bergh, Co-Founder and Head of Asia-Pacific, has seen the #BOD3 in action at our customer site, Modula Tiga Dimensi. One of the key technical advantages of the BOD3 is its ability to #3dprint in high-humidity environments, such as Indonesia, due to its advanced dosing system. This system allows precise delivery of 1-4 additives directly at the printhead, increasing adaptability to environmental conditions, optimizing build-up rates, and reducing minimum layer time - significantly enhancing overall #construction efficiency. Like Simon, we’re excited about the BOD3’s global potential and its impact on the construction industry.
