I don’t know if it’s a Rhinoceros 8 limitation, a missing feature or a bug.
I can’t tweak or change the hatch thickness when using the clipping planes.
Also when showing the Articlines shader the hatches completely disappear if the cap is “on”.
It seems that the rendered polygon overlaps the hatch or there is an incorrect draw order.
As you can see in the video if I set the thickness of all lines to a fixed value they are printed correctly except the hatches of the sections.

I’m having similar issues multiple PC’s. Sometimes the section appears filled when I implement a section style. I think I see you have the opposite going on: The section style is applied.
When I move the clipping plane the section appears filled which makes me think it’s not a memory issue like with my last PC.

Does the hatch pattern appear when you change the viewing angle? If so, we have that issue on the list as RH-77541 Hatches get overdrawn by background
If you are seeing something else, please post the 3dm file, and, from what it looks like, your custom display mode.
I think we have that on the list already, but just to make sure, I’ve created RH-83911 Section Hatch: Width
