Inspiration

The inspiration for this game came from a popular VR game where players duel each other by drawing and casting spells. I wanted to bring a similar experience to mobile platforms, making it accessible to a broader audience. The idea of combining creativity with strategy in a fast-paced environment felt compelling.

What it does

The game allows players to draw symbols on their screen to cast spells. Each spell corresponds to a unique pattern or gesture, and the better your drawing matches the predefined symbol, the more powerful the spell becomes. Players can duel against AI combining their magical arsenal with tactical gameplay.

How we built it

The game was developed using [specific tools/technologies used, e.g., Unity and C#]. For the drawing and recognition system, we implemented a custom algorithm that compares user input to a library of predefined spell patterns. The game features an intuitive UI, real-time multiplayer support, and dynamic spell effects that enhance immersion.

Challenges we ran into

  • Drawing recognition accuracy: Fine-tuning the algorithm to balance precision and tolerance for variations in user input was tricky.
  • Designing Creating visually appealing and distinguishable spells, characters and general art (ran out of time)

What's next for Evoker
