What you will be doing:
Oversight of school kitchen staff, production and service of school meals throughout the district.
Maintain quality standards and monitor adherence to district standards in presentation, merchandising, taste and service.
Monitor kitchen operations in compliance with health and safety rules established by federal, state and local agencies.
Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for all USDA child nutrition programs, including the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
Assist in HR processes relate to hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating kitchen personnel.
Communicate child nutrition programs to district personnel, students and the community.
Implement and coordinate marketing activities related to school meals throughout the district.
Who we are looking for:
Background in nutrition (RD preferred) or food service management
BS/BA in Food Science & Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or an Associate's degree with an academic major or area of concentration in Food and Nutrition, Food Service Management, Culinary Arts or Business and at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Supervisory experience (minimum of 2 years preferred)
Administrative experience in food service (minimum of 2 years preferred)
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with others
Dependable, organized and a team player
Passionate about developing team members and leadership (previous training experience preferred)
Knowledge of: School meal programs, food safety, food service software, nutrition education, nutrition education, food service operations, personnel management, google and microsoft suites
$61,354 - 75,762 annual salary range
