Human Resources Generalist
Freedom Village is recruiting for a full-time Human Resources Generalist. This role is responsible for recruiting new employees and to provide the full Human Resources function to all current employees. They are the first face someone sees when visiting our community.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Human Resources Generalist:
- Recruiting, including identifying and attending off-site events and other opportunities.
- On-board new hires, including paperwork, certification/licensure verification, etc.
- Orientation presentation
- Payroll processing
- Assist in Employee Relations activities.
- Lead the Safety Committee
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Degree or course work in Human Resources strongly preferred
- Human Resources/Recruiting experience

Director of Maintenance
Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Director of Plant Operations to join its team. This role is responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of all aspects of the community’s physical plant to include maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program; the hiring, training and supervising of all plant and housekeeping employees; the coordinating of life safety and security programs; the procuring of supplies, material and equipment, and assisting with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Director of Plant Operations:
- May supervise the Plant Operations Department to include interviewing, hiring (with approval from the Executive Director), training, evaluating, and counseling within established policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment, building, utilities and grounds with an adequate preventative maintenance program. Arrange for maintenance contracts as necessary.
- Maintain the emergency power generating equipment along with all fire and life safety equipment and fire drill and safety inspection reports.
- Provide residents and staff with a timely and effective response to service requests.
- Ensure all equipment and systems function properly and safely. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations/ordinances.
- Advise and consult with the Executive Director in short and long range planning to ensure that community physical plant and grounds are maintained in a good state of repair and that the community projects a good visual image to the community at large and on maintenance schedules and progress.
- Participate in the planning of the annual departmental budget, responsible to maintain all expenditures for department to remain within budget allowances, review monthly operating statement for accuracy and explains variances to budget.
- Maintain proper level of service repair parts for electrical, plumbing, laundry, lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, hardware, locks, batteries, tools, expendable supplies, emergency telephone and security equipment based on past and expected usage. Maintain and adjust computerized controls for HVAC and other equipment as necessary.
Here are a few of the qualifications required:
- Maintenance supervisor experience (preferred)
- High School diploma
- Associates Degree or equivalent in relevant education, training and experience

Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse
Freedom Village at Brandywine is hiring for a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse for an evening shift, 2 to 10:30 PM.
This role is eligible for a shift differential of $1.25 for evenings during the week and $2.50 on the weekends. Salary is starting at $30/hour.
This position provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates and supervises the care provided by Resident Caregivers for Personal Care Home/Assisted Living.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an LPN:
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities and actively promote independent lifestyle of residents.
- Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and re-assessment of each resident.
- Provide daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
- Provide nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Ensure preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative services to residents and assists in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.

- Current nursing license valid in Pennsylvania.
