Following her big win at the 76th Emmy Awards, Liza Colón-Zayas is helping Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win a much more important vote.
The Bear actress will appear at Walz’s Saturday rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania to help the Democratic vice presidential nominee encourage Latino voters to get to the polls, along with Hamilton and Twisters actor Anthony Ramos.
Marking the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Harris-Walz campaign announced “historic efforts to reach Latino voters,” which includes a $3 million investment in Spanish-language radio, as well as community events in key battleground states, according to The Philadelphia Enquirer.

Colón-Zayas, who plays ambitious line cook Tina Marrero on The Bear, won Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series at Sunday’s Emmy Awards, making her the first Latina actress to win that category. She used the platform to encourage fans to vote.
“Thank you. Thank you for giving me a new life with this show,” she said in her speech. “And to all the Latinas who would be looking at me. Keep believing and vote. Vote for your rights. Thank you. Gracias.”
After Harris faced off against opponent Donald Trump last week in the first and only presidential debate ahead of Election Day, a vice presidential debate between Walz and J.D. Vance is scheduled for a CBS News on Oct. 1.
