Joel McHale (Animal Control) is set to guest star in the third season of Showtime‘s Emmy-nominated series Yellowjackets for Paramount+ with Showtime, Deadline has learned.
Details as to the role McHale is playing are being kept under wraps. Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the show’s third season is in production now.
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos), Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls’ soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.
In addition to Lyle, Nickerson and their fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco, exec producers include Drew Comins of Creative Engine, Jeff Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Brad Van Arragon. The show is produced for Showtime by Lionsgate.

The comedic talent is represented by UTA and Ziffren Brittenham.
