🎉Call for Proposals 2024 Closed with Record-Breaking Participation!🥳 The EIT HEI Initiative has set a new record with its 2024 Call for Proposals! We received 130 applications from an impressive total of 1480 organisations - including 677 higher education institutions and 475 businesses - across 55 countries, showcasing the incredible drive for innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration across the higher education ecosystem and beyond. A huge thank you to all participating universities, businesses, and other innovation partners for your dedication and creativity. 💖 These staggering numbers reflect the continued growth and increasing significance of the EIT HEI Initiative on the higher education innovation stage. 📢Exciting news! We are happy to share that, through the collective efforts of our community, the EIT has trained over ⭐880 000 learners ⭐ As part of #HorizonEurope, the EIT is the only EU innovation instrument dedicated to integrating education and skills with research and business. EIT Skilling programmes target all levels of learning and include the: 🔷 EIT Deep Tech Talent which has successfully targeted 1 million learners and trained 524 000 learners in deep tech applications. 🔷Girls Go Circular training 64 758 secondary school students to develop tech and entrepreneurship skills related to the green and digital transition. 🔷 #EITLabel training 6 471 university students with over 60 graduate degree programmes developed with the 200 universities active in the EIT network. EIT Label graduates make up the vibrant EIT Alumni network 🔷 EIT Campus, #EuropeanBatteryAllianceAcademy and the #EuropeanSolarAcademy (under the Net Zeros Industry Act) are all contributing to our professional training and upskilling portfolio that have collectively trained over 209 771 workers and professional learners. 🔷 EIT HEI Initiative has trained 69 000 students and faculty at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in its pilot phase while also supporting over 1 000 start-ups and scale-ups. Their 2024 call for proposals is now open for applications!
