Successful Egyptian Delegation Visit at IFAT worldwide 2024 in Munich: A Step Towards Strengthening German-Egyptian Business Ties.
In May 2024, our team was delighted to welcome a delegation of leading Egyptian companies at our booth during IFAT, the world's premier trade fair for water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management.
This visit was made possible thanks to the efforts of Joerg Schreiber, MBA / Dipl. Ing. from "Partnering in Business Partnering in Business with Germany" and the honorable Peter Riad from the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), who facilitated the meeting at our LETZTEST booth just weeks after our initial encounter.
With our equipment, website, and technical support now fully available in Arabic, this event provided the perfect platform for us to engage with key representatives from Egypt's dynamic and growing water sector such as The Arab Contractors for Facility Management.
The connections established during #IFAT are a testament to the thriving collaboration between #Germany and #Egypt, particularly in the fields of water quality monitoring, sustainable irrigation, seawater desalination, and advanced water treatment solutions.
A call to further action for our Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz, under Mr. Robert Habeck: If we really want innovative German SMEs to play a significant role on the global stage, there is an urgent need for platforms that support the efficient on-site presentation of our technical solutions in new markets following such matchmaking programs which are a good start but have the characteristics of a speed dating event. We are consistently advocating for practice relevant German product showrooms at German embassies, through #GIZ initiatives or similar structures. With the right companies, structures, and dedicated experts from various technical and cultural backgrounds that we have in #Germany, much could be built and achieved!
The collaboration between Egypt and Germany continues to grow, driven by mutual interest and the pressing environmental challenges Egypt faces, such as water scarcity and the effects of climate change. German tech firms have significant opportunities in Egypt, particularly in sustainable technology sectors that address these critical issues.
The IFAT fair was not just a meeting ground but a springboard for future cooperation, with Egyptian business leaders gaining insights into innovative technologies from Germany and forging valuable partnerships. These collaborations will be successful for both sides and will foster positive developments on both ends.
