Every now and then, I come across an AI tool that truly blows my mind—and today, that tool was Google’s Notebook LM. I tried it out, and within minutes, it transformed any content I threw at it—whether an article, a company overview, or even my resume—into a realistic podcast. Imagine two podcasters, one male and one female, discussing your content. The result was impressive. I decided to test it further using some content from my startup, Makyo, which talks about replacing the internet with progressive web apps instead of websites built with legacy tools like WordPress. Notebook LM picked up on some fantastic nuances and created a pretty engaging, 10-minute podcast from it. It was fun to listen to and surprisingly thought-provoking. As an experiment, I went a step further and created a full-blown fictional podcast for Makyo. While I’m not planning on going into the podcast business, it was so easy that I thought, why not? I used Leonardo.ai for images, added a bit of animation with Runway, background music by Udio and then edited it all in Adobe Premiere Pro (that part wasn’t AI-powered and, yes, a little painful!). Despite the lip-syncing not being perfect, I’m really happy with how it turned out. I think this is going to be a game-changer for podcast creation. It's not perfect yet—I'd love to see options for different characters, accents, and tones (critical, playful, etc.). But even as is, it’s definitely democratizing podcast creation. And who knows, maybe with a bit more polish and a better name (Notebook LM is not exactly inspiring), this could become the go-to tool for anyone who’s ever thought about creating a podcast but didn’t know where to start. "Why go to work at Google when you can start your own company?" I am not sure if this was a serious question or clickbait. Regardless, it is worth thinking about. I have over 20+ years of startup experience now and here are a few reasons off the top of my head.. 1) Stress. I think this is unavoidable in startup world. You will be scarce on resources.. time.. money.. people.. this can be very stressful. If you can't manage your stress well through diet, exercise, sleep, etc... you might want to steer clear of startup land. I don't think I managed it that well I suffered along with those around me who had to deal with my fall out. And I was running.. a lot. 2) Stress. Did I mention stress? Stress can be a huge drag on your mental health and those around you. I definitely bear the scars of long term stress.. brain fog, memory issues, hurt relationships. I am recovering, but I feel its affects. 3) Stress. Not having money, not being able to do the things you want to do.. not being able to provide well for your employees.. letting clients down because you can't get them what they need to be successful. If these are the sorts of things that keep you up at night.. this life might not be for you. 4) Yeah.. um.. stress. It really does all boil down to this. Your startup will most likely fail. Are you ready for that blow to your ego? Feeling like a failure.. because you will fail. Even in success you can very much feel like a failure. My company was by all accounts a success.. it continues to be very profitable and employ people. But I don't benefit from it because I was forced to sell it. Long story, and one filled with stress. So, the moral of the story. By all means, go into startups.. but be ready to manage the stress. Make sure you what impacts this will have on you and those you love. That's not to say that working at Google isn't stressful, I am sure it is. But it does remove some of the bigger stressors.. like "will I have money this month?" and "will I have to lay off my friends?". Being able to "hang it up" at the end of the day is a gift. Being able to be present with your children is a gift. I don't fault anyone who takes the job at Google. That being said, I will always be in startups :)

You cannot continue paying to get all your users, you must invest viral loops in your product. 🔁 Viral growth is not a new phenomenon. One of the earliest instances of viral growth came in the form of the infamous “Send-a-Dime” chain letter in 1935. This letter spread across the globe within months. Participants were urged to send a dime to five others within three days, creating a sense of urgency. And today we have the most sophisticated viral loops giving products millions of users every day! As the placement season is about to start, 99% of the companies hiring for product roles will have this as a crucial selection criteria ⭐️ For the APM hirings on campus, Product decks is one of the most crucial rounds to shortlisted top 20% candidates. Major companies including Flipkart , Groww , Meesho have this as a part of APM hiring process. Sharing all the resources and strategy you need to master these⬇️ A deck making flow that works: 1. Start with problem statement 2. Mention the users 3. Talk about the current flow 4. Mention pain points in the same 5. Give solutions (3-4 is a good number) 6. List down metrics to track 7. It's exciting time to build, as the time and cost required to develop a product have significantly decreased. AI-based tools can now create products within weeks.  At Shyena Tech Yarns Pvt Ltd, we are working on multiple AI product ideas with a small team 5-6 people working on each product idea. Instead of focusing on one product idea & devoting all energy on it, we are working on a suite of related products. We are building products even though we are are aware that many similar products exist in the market or getting built. If there are multiple products available, will startups find it challenging to sustain and scale up? What will be the differentiators as almost all products will have similar features? All open-source software is not created equally. Quite the contrary, they are unique in their own ways. Your job as a founder is to find where your product is on the spectrum and not be too scared to go into unchartered territories in the business model that suits your project, from libraries to CLIs to frameworks to full-blown infrastructure projects. Open-source software is a means to an end, not the end itself. Nothing beats deeply understanding your users and what they care about and walking backwards from that to build a great project and business. Blindly copying other successful open-source companies’ models is a fool’s errand. I’m forever blown away by the fact that a background job worker that isn’t language-agnostic makes $10M ARR built and managed by a single indie developer. Maybe I should write a longer form post on my blog; it might make for a good first post.

💡😎 - Ideas Dept. // Need a basic Website? - Pay what you think is fair. I have been thinking about how to reply to organizations who assume our Websites and Mobile Apps are out of their budget. It made me think of the trend of 'Pay What You Can' restaurants where the concept is everyone should be able to afford a meal.
