For US brands, DACH is the biggest revenue opportunity in EMEA. But simply cloning your strategies will not work. EMEA is not the United States, and DACH is its own unique market. It's not as simple as copy, paste, and profit. A successful GTM plan for DACH requires a transformation of 3 M’s: > Mindset > Market differences > Mechanics Mindset: In its original market, every startup builds a series of bridges between its product and its target market. Be that startup again. Market differences: Legal and cultural differences. They’re not just checkboxes on your market entry plan. They're the absolute foundation of it. Mechanics: Adapt your initiatives. US playbooks won't work here. Understand this and you don’t need to try planting a cactus in the alps. It’s possible to win in DACH.  Also for US brands. Are text-based posts d*ead?   I consult (and occasionally write for) around two dozen LinkedIn accounts in DACH, the UK, and the US. I manage analytics and evaluate performance. It’s fair to say that my insights are solid.     Here’s what I’ve found:   With one exception, all accounts’ performance on text-based posts has gone down by 50–90%.   Simultaneously, those accounts with video posts have consistently reached exorbitant impressions, the highest being around 60.000 views! I can’t even remember the days when a text-based post hit the stratosphere like that.   With video content being the top performer across all social media channels, it was only ever a matter of time for LinkedIn to join ranks. There’s no way around video content any more. The irony of this being a text is not lost on me; you'll see a lot more videos from my end on here, too. What's been your experience? Some insight into running Native Ads in Germany for the last 30 days. 1. In the beginning - Max conversions takes some time to get dialed in. I'd avoid pausing anything prematurely even if data does not look to hot. (4-5 days min) 2. From the data I have, MSN and "Stroeer" placements look best so far. 3. Taboola DACH has amazing reps and service. 4. Creatives- Use a mix of motion, mini vids, and static images in one campaign. Don't repeat the same headlines often. Keep the same meaning using diff verbiage. 5. I also notice having more than 5-6 images on at one time seems to give my campaigns much better reach. Not hitting the typical top 10 publishers so heavily. Try 8-10 Ads. 6. Before you pause an AD, look into what sites it is serving on the most. Is it just a bad site overall? Maybe that one site makes a really good AD look bad. Dig into all the data. 7. Im seeing Windows perform the best on Desk and Android perform the best on mobile. 8. Tons of room for scale so we are slowly scaling up spend and than Outbrain is next. #NativeAdvertising #MediaBuying #Taboola

Don’t fall into the SEA trap of unprofitable growth!  7 reasons why your growth cannot rely solely on SEA: I love SEA. It was the second marketing channel I mastered and crucial for our European go-to-market strategy of our first D2C brand. SEA is fantastic for a fast market entry, testing, learning and fueling initial growth. But: Relying solely on SEA can lead to unprofitable growth! Here are 7 reasons why you must diversify your customer acquisition strategy: 1) Overcrowded Niches ⤷ Most keyword niches are saturated ⤷ High competition = high acquisition cost = limited ROI = limited profitable growth 2) Low Entry Barrier ⤷ SEA is easy to start ⤷ Competitors can join quickly, adding cost pressure 3) CAC Inflation & ROI Pressure ⤷ Scaling SEA will drive up customer acquisition cost ⤷ More competitive positions = higher bids = higher CAC = lower ROI 4) Unprofitable Growth ⤷ Scaling SEA can lead to adding unprofitable segments ⤷ Watch incremental cost vs. incremental customers closely to not grow segments that don’t add profit 5) Growth Limitation ⤷ SEA can only grow so far, especially if you keep all segments profitable ⤷ Sooner or later you will hit a growth ceiling and cannot grow further 6) Lack of sticky traffic ⤷ SEA doesn't build strong brand awareness and traffic ⤷ Inflow stops when ads stop, requiring constant advertising even when prices rise 7) Google’s Rules Change ⤷ Google owns the two largest search engines: Google Search and YouTube ⤷ Unpredictable Google Ads changes can harm your campaign performance and ROI SEA is fantastic for go-to-market strategies.
