Balancing tight budgets for staff training. How can you craft impactful programs for your team members?
First, what does "balancing" mean? It means setting "hours invested" against "added value through gained knowledge". What does make an impact in my experience: 1. facilitated exchange and discussion, to add different views and deep dives at the same time 2. Bringing together different people that still have some things in common, e.g. leaders from different companies and industries. It typically brings new approaches and ideas. 3. Move away from generic and abstract trainings, which we often find in certifications, to intense formats alongside people's daily challenges. E.g. provide prompting training where people work on their own use cases. 4. Guide people through the training portfolio, e.g. with help of AI, to individualize the journey.

Your team is facing power struggles hindering collaboration. How can you address them effectively?
Harmony is not my aim, but open discussions, even arguments, helping to set aside the hindering issues. In my experience, power struggles often come from either individual goals being valued over team (or company) goals, or from unclear team goals. First issue I would address in 1:1 talks, to find out the reason. Could be frustration, could be misunderstanding ... in any case, this needs a personal development through leadership. Second issue I typically address in creating a team vision in a visual form. This is usually a full day workshop with the whole team where I facilitate to step by step create the common goal, and have enough room to debate on different viewpoints and align, constantly considering and lowering resistance .
