Sigh maybe I should use clunkier engineering at first and then “optimize” by just switching out to Polars ). I kid. Some data engineerer unintentionally do this, ensuring job security 😆 (some I am told do this intentionally - like insert some sleep(100) in a long loop, 🫤). Unfortunately it’s really hard to improve performance or reduce costs when Polars is your goto library for “T” layer of ETL.

Much more than an ETL tool: Object wizards like with Pimcore Copilot (only better integrated, e.g. add a button in your class layout to start an object wizard dataport. This triggers automatic text generation, translation or any automation but it is much closer in the object editing workflow than Pimcore Copilot. But this release also enhances other Pimcore core features: - automatically reload objects if they have changed in the background to always see latest state - automatic tab management: if opened tabs exceed viewport width, close the one which has not been accessed the longest time - expand main menu to open object with direct access by indexed fields, e.g. directly open a product with a certain SKU - integrated path formatters to not always show object full path (which consists in 99% of cases of the same prefix path which even sometimes hides the actually interesting object key - automatic creation of perspectives based on class groups We continue our way to get the best out of #Pimcore - without any additional programming effort!

For sure, the steadily increase of cloud computing raises new challenges to keep costs under control but the good news is, most of the enterprises are meanwhile aware of it. Giving AI a 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 and 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿 makes interactions feel more natural and human-like. In the past three months, we’ve developed a module in our software that makes adding an AI assistant to any kiosk or self-service terminal easy. Training the avatar is designed with non-techies in mind: simply provide it with weblinks or documents and refine responses through natural language prompts. German software developers increasingly productive German companies are increasingly using AI and automation in software development. This is according to the eighth Global DevSecOps Report. Companies have more than doubled their release cycles compared to the previous year. According to the study, 77% of German developers surveyed currently deliver software at least twice as fast as last year - by far the highest rate in an international comparison. Seven out of nine developers provide new code several times a week, three out of ten even daily. In addition to accelerated software delivery, many German companies are increasingly investing in automation and AI for DevOps processes. 74% already use automated tools for large parts of the development cycle. 53% of German developers actively use AI, making Germany the European leader in the implementation of AI in the DevOps environment. An important result of the study is that measuring productivity is a key issue for the further development of DevOps processes in Germany. 57% of manager see this as the key to business growth. 42% of German companies now use a DevSecOps platform.
