The reality is that end users don't like VDI – the lags, the bottlenecks, the barriers, the high cost, the general experience. But we can’t blame that on VDI, and we don’t need to remove it completely either. With work being almost totally cloud-based in 2024, we’re asking VDI to do things it simply wasn’t designed to do, during an era of modern work that’s vastly different from the generation VDI was born in. It’s time to enable a better end user experience on the endpoint itself, while we reduce VDI usage to the niche cases we built it for.
