Kahoot! Details page
Working with a small team of designers and developers we redesigned the details page which is displayed every time a kahoot is played. Before the redesign, the page was still an MVP. It was a chaotic, unresponsive product with over a dozen buttons and actions, with no sense of hierarchy or order. The goals of this redesign was to provide a more premium and clearer experience for users and so increase US teacher plays and the number of game Challenges being created. Working with a small team of designers and developers we redesigned the details page which is displayed every time a kahoot is played. Before the redesign, the page was still an MVP. It was a chaotic, unresponsive product with over a dozen buttons and actions, with no sense of hierarchy or order. The goals of this redesign was to provide a more premium and clearer experience for users and so increase US teacher plays and the number of game Challenges being created. Like all products we design at Kahoot!, we closely analysed this page with HotJar and Amplitude to help us improve the experience for users and improve the performance of the page, releasing the new design to a limited percentage of users following a series of A/B tests

Using the outcomes of the brand refresh, I worked on the user interface and user experience of our mobile app with a small team in Oslo, to create a brand new single player offering to users worldwide. Almost as soon as the app went live it was featured and also shot straight to the top 5 Education apps on the Apple iOS App store.

Kahoot! Discover page
We designed a vision for the Kahoot! discover page and worked with a team of developers to break it down into smaller achievable steps to build it out in an iterative process. We designed the discover page as the platform had no space for users to discover curated collections of content, and so we wanted to deliver a much more personalised experience for our users.

Branded Kahoot! experience
As the demand for content and brand partnerships grew ever larger, I worked with our Senior Visual Designer to convert the platform into an adaptable user interface to enable multiple branded experiences for the likes of Star Wars, Splatoon, Super Mario Run, Disney’s Moana and ESPN to be hosted on the platform. Subsequently this work was presented to Disney and helped us receive an invitation to their Accelerator programme.

Brand Refresh
As part of the relaunch of our marketing site, I worked with our Senior Visual designer to refresh the Kahoot! brand to better reflect the our values and personality. The result being a bold, vibrant, playful and quirky aesthetic with a new creative logic to enable the brand to be a lot more flexible and adaptive than ever before. The output of the brand refresh ranged from user interface and digital artwork to printed business cards and displays for events such as BETT and SXSW.
