Phase 4 – Confidence Building Through Data & Feedback At this stage, we refine our AI with every mission. Data informs continuous model improvements, enhancing detection and neutralization accuracy. Humans now spend less time in live scenarios and more time fine-tuning the tech behind the scenes, steadily building trust in autonomy.

The Future of EOD
Info
Founded in 2019 in Germany, WARGdrones focuses on developing specialized, AI-powered drone solutions for demanding tasks such as Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) operations, and mine barrier breaching. Our EOD UAV is a key innovation, equipped to deploy a disruptor with precise accuracy, offering a unique solution for safely neutralizing unexploded ordnance (UXO) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). WARGdrones is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in drone technology, continuously refining our designs to respond to evolving challenges in the field. We are driven by a commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation, helping to make high-risk operations more controlled and effective.

Phase 3 – Automated Neutralization With Human Override As confidence grows, our drones are equipped to neutralise threats directly, relying on integrated payloads. A human operator can still intervene if necessary, but now the system does most of the work, moving the human role further away from the immediate danger. https://lnkd.in/dTTK3syB

Phase 2 – Autonomous Navigation & Semi-Autonomous Identification With experience gained, our drones now navigate on their own and classify threats using Safetrek AI models. Humans oversee from a safe distance and confirm the system’s judgments. This shift reduces operational burden, with the operator guiding rather than micromanaging every step. #unmanned #eod #demining #ukraine
-
Phase 1 – Drone-Assisted Detection with Human Validation We begin by deploying UAVs that scan and detect potential explosive threats. Humans still validate what the drones find, ensuring accuracy and building confidence in the Safetrek system by BA Clearance GmbH. At this stage, we’re learning how the tech performs while keeping operators fully in the decision loop. Next up: Autonomous navigation and semi-automated threat identification.

Evolving EOD: The Road to Reduced Human Risk At Wargdrones, we’re moving toward a future where the human role in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) is minimized, increasing safety and efficiency. It won’t happen overnight—our approach is incremental, measured, and rooted in building trust in advanced technology step by step. Stay tuned for a series of posts detailing each phase of this journey. #unmanned #uav #eod #ukraine #demining

Revolutionizing Mine Barrier Breaching with Modular Robotics Traditional mine barrier breaching systems, like high-order operations or legacy platforms are slow and resource-intensive, often requiring hours to clear a single path. Modern modular approaches using drones offer clear advantages: • Speed: Clears mine barriers in under 5 minutes compared to 3+ hours with legacy systems. • Reduced Risk: Neutralizes threats with precision, avoiding collateral damage. • Stealth: Harder to detect and counter due to smaller, decentralized platforms. • Adaptability: Modular systems can scale and adjust to different terrains and threats. • Efficiency: Lower maintenance and operational costs compared to traditional methods. This shift demonstrates how innovation can deliver faster, safer, and more effective solutions for mine barrier breaching. #DefenseInnovation #MineBarrierBreaching #ModularSystems #Robotics

Thanks for having us UXS Alliance!
Yesterday, we hosted our third European Defense Tech Meetup in Berlin together with Quantum Systems Matthias Lehna gave an introduction to the UXS Alliance, and we had an informative talk by Leon Wenning about what it takes to fly reconnaissance drones over GPS-denied and heavily jammed territory We also had several pitches from defense tech and dual-use startups, including - Stefan Thumann from Donaustahl GmbH - Claudio Flores from Mimotype Technologies GmbH, - Nura (Ngurah) Linggih from PLENO (Techstars'24), - Dr. Tobias de Taillez from Wargdrones, - Dr. Uwe Gross from NEX, - Christian Brunner-Schwer from WeldNova GmbH, and many others, including Jacob von Manteuffel, Carmen Loew, A. Seshaditya, and Toni Horlaender. Follow us and subscribe to our e-mail newsletter to stay posted about defense tech future meetups and hackathons (link in the comments) 🚨

Congratulations to our friends from DOK-ING & Rheinmetall!
DOK-ING and Rheinmetall signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) on October 28th 2024, to establish a joint venture. A special feature of this partnership is the entirely European origin and value creation, which should result in various unmanned ground systems (UGS). The planned joint venture is foreseen to become the market leader in the segment of unmanned and remote-controlled combat and combat support vehicles. The first goal of the partnership is to jointly develop an unmanned system for mine scattering and counter-mobility operations. A corresponding system demonstrator is to be presented in 2025. The signing of the MoU in the Croatian Embassy in Berlin took place in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Croatia Ivan Anušić and the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Tihomir Kundid.
