In today’s complex business environment, having a strong intellect isn’t enough. Leaders who excel at navigating uncertainty, managing pressure, and inspiring teams require a different kind of intelligence–emotional intelligence. Effective decision-making is a complex process that requires a leader to not only analyse data and weigh options logically but also to manage their own emotions and consider the emotional impact of their choices. Here's how emotional intelligence strengthens decision-making: Clearer Thinking Under Pressure: High-pressure situations can trigger emotional responses that cloud judgment. Self-awareness and self-regulation allow leaders to stay calm, avoid impulsive choices, and think rationally when faced with difficult decisions. 🔸Improved Risk Assessment: Emotions can play a valuable role in decision-making by prompting us to consider potential risks. Leaders with strong emotional intelligence can recognize and interpret their emotions as signals, allowing them to identify potential downsides or unforeseen consequences. 🔸Considering Diverse Perspectives: Empathy allows leaders to understand how decisions will affect others. This fosters a more inclusive decision-making culture that considers the needs and concerns of employees, customers, and stakeholders, ultimately leading to more well-rounded solutions. 🔸Building Consensus and Trust: Leaders with strong social skills can effectively communicate complex decisions, navigate disagreements, and build consensus among team members. This fosters trust within the organisation and increases the likelihood of successful implementation. 🔸Motivation and Persistence: Leaders with high EQ bring the motivation and perseverance to navigate setbacks of complex decisions, stay focused on the long-term goal, and ultimately reach the best solution. ________ By integrating emotional intelligence into your decision-making process, you can drive better outcomes, inspire your teams, and create a resilient and inclusive organisational culture. #emotionalintelligence #business #leadership #businessenvironment #IQ #EQ #decisionmaking #motivation #inspiration #success

Social Leadership for Everyone. Why do we say that? Because everyone has the position and influence to make an impact. One of the highlights of our recent Business Immersion Week was a workshop led by our founder and CEO, Raj Hayer. Raj brought her expertise in Social Leadership, empowering students to embrace a new style of leadership designed for today’s digital world. So, what is Social Leadership, and why does it matter? 🔸Define What You Stand For Great leaders influence beyond their organization. By aligning your personal and professional values, you attract talent and opportunities while creating a ripple effect of positive change. 🔸Foster Real Connections Social leadership enhances real-time interaction, allowing you to build stronger, authentic relationships that matter in a fast-paced digital environment. 🔸Lead with Transparency In today’s world, authenticity and openness are essential. Social leaders strengthen trust and reputation, ensuring their organization thrives. 🔸Collaborate and Innovate Encouraging idea-sharing and teamwork drives adaptability, helping your organization evolve and innovate in the ever-changing digital landscape. Raj’s workshop inspired students to embrace these principles, preparing them to amplify their impact as future leaders. Thank you, EU Business School, for hosting this amazing event and giving us the opportunity to share our passion for leadership and innovation. #SocialLeadership #Innovation #LeadershipStyle #DigitalFuture #Collaboration

The idea of hiring slowly and firing quickly sounds straightforward but can be challenging in practice. It’s easy to decline a candidate initially, but what happens when you’re short-staffed or desperate? What if you're in a tight spot? Here are three key focuses for team building: 🔸Vision A clear vision simplifies decision-making. Do candidates share your vision and values? They may be talented, but are they the right fit? 🔸Drive Are they driven and eager? Hard work often surpasses talent. In my experience, top performance is more about work ethic than natural ability. Entitlement can harm culture and motivation. 🔸Flexibility Consider their goals and yours. If they’re likely to stay only a year, is that acceptable? It's crucial to be flexible with hiring, including using freelancers. Not everyone will stay long-term, and that’s okay. Be willing to make mistakes and make them often; just make sure you learn from them! --- From hiring with vision to fostering flexibility, building the right team takes thoughtful strategy and constant learning. At TinyBox Academy, we’re passionate about helping leaders like you navigate these challenges with confidence. 💡 Join the TinyBox Movement to get: ✔️ Exclusive insights on leadership and team building ✔️ Practical tools and free resources ✔️ First access to workshops and events Whether you’re scaling your business or fine-tuning your dream team, we’ve got your back every step of the way. 👉 Sign up for our newsletter and start shaping your vision for success today! https://lnkd.in/eFPCVuwp #leadership #leaders #coaching #business #businessadvice #hiring #vison #flexibility #newsletter

You can mandate changes, but if you don’t have a plan for how to implement, monitor, and report on the #success of that #change, you’re setting yourself up to fail. Here are six key change management best practices to follow to ensure an effective change transition. 1️⃣ Create a sense of urgency Present the change as an urgent and exciting #opportunity. You must showcase to those impacted by the change that it will help them be more productive and do their job more effectively. 2️⃣ Roll out in phases Breaking your initiative into phases helps you avoid overwhelming your team with too much change all at once. Small, gradual change is more accessible to adopt than significant changes all at once. 3️⃣ Address resistance Explain how the change will impact specific departments and individuals. You can avoid resistance and help your employees adapt to change by addressing any internal hesitancies from the beginning. 4️⃣ Use a variety of training methods Not everyone learns in the same way, so it’s important to guide through a variety of training methods and types of employee training formats. 5️⃣ Establish change leaders Change leaders help motivate the entire team to push forward with the transformation. Your change leaders should include a mix of employees from various departments impacted by the change. These leaders should be well-liked across the company and can influence opinions. 6️⃣ Ask for feedback Listening to your team is a great way to improve your change management process and address any concerns or resistance. This will provide you with ways to improve future change rollouts and get your employees involved with the process. Effective change management isn’t just about mandating new initiatives—it’s about #planning, #communicating, and fostering #collaboration to ensure a smooth #transition. By creating urgency, phasing changes, addressing resistance, providing diverse training, empowering change leaders, and seeking feedback, you can set the foundation for success and make change a positive and transformative experience for your team. #change #management #leadership #business #businesstips

At the Mobilexpense Summit, our CEO, Raj Hayer, led a thought-provoking discussion on the transformative role of diversity in fostering innovation within finance and expense management. "Diversity goes beyond representation - it’s about embracing visible and invisible traits to foster resilience, adaptability, and creativity in decision-making." Raj emphasized that inclusive leadership is the key to leveraging the unique contributions of diverse teams. By intentionally fostering diversity, organizations can build trust, enhance team effectiveness, and better serve markets across the globe. 💡 Key Insights: 🔸Diverse perspectives are essential in identifying new markets and creating solutions that address underrepresented demographics. 🔸Inclusive innovation helps financial sectors overcome trust challenges while strengthening brand loyalty. 🔸Examples of success include innovative solutions like China’s Sesame Credit and Kenya’s M-Pesa, which have revolutionized financial inclusivity. The discussion highlighted that diversity isn’t just a social responsibility - it’s a strategic advantage that drives financial growth and innovation in a rapidly evolving world. 🎥 Want to dive deeper into this inspiring conversation? 🤖 AI is Listening. What Are We Teaching It? We talk a lot about AI - it’s the buzzword of the decade. But there’s a critical part of the conversation we often overlook: we are the input. Every like, comment, or post we make feeds AI. It learns from the behaviors we model online. If we allow negativity, bullying, misinformation, or narrow perspectives to dominate, that’s the AI we’re shaping. Mo Gawdat, author of Scary Smart, reminds us: it’s our responsibility to guide AI by showing the best of humanity. He even uses “please” and “thank you” when interacting with AI - because what we put in shapes what we get out. What can we do? ✅ Share positivity and accurate information. ✅ Call out harmful behavior with empathy. ✅ Lead by example—be kind, thoughtful, and respectful online. AI is only as smart as the humans who teach it. Let’s take responsibility and build a digital world we’re proud to be part of. #AI #DigitalResponsibility #BeTheInput #ScarySmart
