Digitalization is everywhere - even in shipbuilding! ⚓️ The production of our frigates is now taking a decisive step towards the future: paperless production is becoming increasingly important. Dispensing with printed drawings not only protects the environment, but also reduces production costs. Our colleagues at thyssenkrupp Estaleiro Brasil Sul has worked closely with colleagues from Germany to prove that paperless production also works in shipbuilding. A great success for everyone involved! Now we have to keep at it and continue to optimize. And there's more to come! Stay tuned: our teams around the world are working on developing new processes and innovative technologies. The next step? The expansion of paperless production through the use of augmented reality. #thyssenkrupp #tkEBS #SocialResponsibility #Innovation

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝘆'𝘀 𝗣-𝟳𝟱 (𝗜) 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 Last week, we had a visit from a film team in Kiel on the topic of the Indian Navy’s sub marine project. As the Chancellor's trip has a special focus on defense topics, we were able to provide an up-to-date insight into the status of the tender and inform about our progress. In July 2023 we submitted a comprehensive proposal to Mazagon Dockyard Limited (MDL) for the development and local construction of six submarines in India. This partnership builds on MDL's unique experience in submarine construction in India and underlines tkMS' role as a leading supplier for the Indian Navy's P-75 (I) project. The offered design “214IN” is based on the proven HDW class 214 and is specifically tailored to the requirements of the Indian Navy. Here, tkMS combines many years of expertise in the development of submarines with advanced technologies such as the air-independent propulsion system (AIP), which is crucial for extended underwater endurance. The design is complemented by the latest advances in lithium-ion battery technology, sensor and combat systems and improved stealth features. These innovations ensure superior performance, increased endurance and reduced detectability - ensuring that the submarine configuration is tailored for optimal performance in Indian maritime conditions, including shallow waters, coastal defense and blue water operations. A key aspect is local manufacturing in India, which will be carried out by MDL, thus enabling significant local value addition. tkMS will provide comprehensive technological support and consultancy services and actively accompany the Indian defense industry in setting up an independent submarine manufacturing capability. With this partnership, we are not only contributing to the self-reliance of the Indian defense industry, but also strengthening the cooperation between Germany and India. #tkMS #India #MarineSystems #submarines #partnership #innovation

🚢 Successful handover of the first NTSP boat TCG PİRİREİS to the Turkish Navy! 🎉 On October 17, 2024, the first boat of the HDW Class NTSP was handed over to the Turkish Navy in a festive ceremony. In close cooperation with the GNSY shipyard and the Turkish procurement authority SSB, an important milestone was reached. As business partner, thyssenkrupp Marine Systems was largely responsible for the design and construction, supported by the consortium of MFI and HDW. Project manager Bernd Krekeler summarizes the success as follows: “It was a long road with many challenges, but the entire team contributed to the success with great dedication. Special thanks go to our colleagues in Kiel and Gölcük as well as our partners at Atlas Elektronik UK and Hagenuk.” Christian Rogge, Head of OU Submarines, sees the completion of this phase as a prelude to further successes: “This is a significant milestone for our company. We are now starting the next phase with full vigor - the handover of the other five boats.” The journey continues and we look forward to the projects and challenges ahead! #NTSP #TCGPirireis #thyssenkruppMarineSystems #Innovation Photo: Group photo of the Acceptance Committee from SSB, Fleet, and GNSY, alongside other officers and our core team.
