“Just as humans have a lifespan, I think our work also has a lifespan, even if we don't know when it will be. However, even so, if we give up because we think that our efforts are boring, we will not be able to live out what humans call our natural lifespan. This is like living an unhealthy lifestyle and neglecting our health because we know that we will eventually die.” As we near the end of the year, let these wise words from our Founder Konosuke Matsushita remind us to pour our hearts into every endeavor, embracing both its finite nature and the infinite value it can create. Like the festive glow of Christmas lights, the energy we dedicate to our work and loved ones brightens our world, leaving a lasting legacy. 🎄 Let’s step into 2025 ready to live with purpose, resilience, and joy! 💪💖 #PanasonicEurope #EndofYear #Christmas #BBP #Founder #Thoughts #Joyful

Can you believe this year is almost over?🤔 Time to reflect! Together with our team Panasonic Sustainability Ambassador Hannah Cockroft OBE, PLY, DL, we want to look back at what steps have been taken towards a more sustainable future: “This was a year where I really wanted to push myself to truly be part of the e sustainability motto: Together.Action. Progress. Having the Big Clear-up event with my local community in Mount Tabor in October was fantastic - and we're going to return in the Spring! But l've also made smaller decisions that I want to keep close as I enter 2025 - from driving instead of flying when I can, to continuing to donate kit l've been kindly given to charities who can share it with schools and clubs (so much better than it either sitting in storage or going to landfill!)” Thank you, Hannah, for being part of our vision and mission! 💚 Together. Action. Progress. #PanasonicEurope #sustainability #sustainabilityaction #PanasonicGREENIMPACT #climatechange

Our sustainability and Team Panasonic Ambassador Hannah Mills visited us at our Cardiff factory to find out more about how Panasonic Green Impact is practiced by everyone and what concrete actions are being taken. 🌱 As part of our commitment, we are actively looking at more sustainable packaging by reducing and respectively avoid completely the amount of EPS (expandable polystyrene) we currently use. Instead, we are switching to more environmentally friendly cardboard box materials, which will significantly leads to more sustainable packaging. We also plan to minimize the use of paper by replacing printed instructions with QR codes that direct users to digital operation manuals online. 📱📦 From rethinking packaging to innovating sustainable solutions, we still have a good way to go, but we are taking concrete steps towards our long-term vision of becoming fully sustainable. Watch the video below to see what Hannah discovered during her visit! 👇👀 #PanasonicEurope #Environment #Packaging #EPS #Sustainability #PanasonicGREENIMPACT #Commitment

Last week, Malaika Mihambo, long jump champion, Sustainability Ambassador, and Team Panasonic athlete, engaged with students at the LÖWENROT-Gymnasium in St. Leon-Rot through inspiring talks and hands-on activities, bringing sustainability to the forefront of discussions. 🌍 To kick off the event, Panasonic Europe Sustainability Manager, Kathrin Schlangenfeldt helped students visualize 1 tonne of CO2 using balloons. She shared how Panasonic's green transformation is being driven, and how individuals can reduce their yearly carbon footprint to help meet climate goals in various ways. Speakers from LÖWENROT-Gymnasium, including the principal, showcased the fantastic initiatives their school is implementing to become more sustainable. Kathrin and Malaika also participated in interviews with students discussing sustainability goals and how to incorporate a sustainable lifestyle. As part of exciting audience participation activities like the Climate Change Quiz, and "Long Jump Challenge," Panasonic pledged to donate heritage apple trees to the school and its partners for every correct quiz question, and every meter the enthusiastic students jumped. 🌳 The next phase of this project will involve planting these trees around the area in 2025 Spring. 🏆 The collaboration between LÖWENROT-Gymnasium, Malaika, Kathrin, and all the participating students, parents, and educators made this event a positive and educational experience. Every step we take brings us closer to a more sustainable tomorrow. 💚 #PanasonicEurope #Event #PanasonicGREENIMPACT #GreenerFuture #Ambassador #Inspiring #NextGeneration

What if technology could help us build a more caring world? 🤔🌐 At Panasonic, we are working towards 2040 where every choice we make - powered by innovative technology - naturally supports each other and the planet. 🌍 In our Technology Future Vision Tomoko Katayama, Technology Planning Office & Strategy Planning Department at Panasonic, showed how this vision aims to foster a "co-caring society" where sustainable solutions and thoughtful choices go hand in hand. “After much consideration, we concluded that in the future society we envision, a society where individual choice naturally leads to caring for each other and the planet. Moreover, we identified three factors that play key roles in developing such a society: energy and resources, a sense of fulfilment, and care and consideration.” Katayama explained. 💡 Together, let's create a future where technology brings us closer together, cares for our environment, and inspires every decision. Did you know that Panasonic's journey in the world of bicycles goes back over 70 years? 🚲 While we are now known for innovations in energy, electronics and industrial solutions, our two-wheeled heritage has played a key role in shaping the company we are today. Starting with everyday bikes in Japan in the 1950s, Panasonic quickly expanded into racing bikes and exports to the US and Europe in the 1970s. We then unveiled our first e-bike prototype in 1979 - decades before e-bikes became a global phenomenon. Fast forward to 1996 and we introduced one of the first true mid-drive motors, setting the stage for modern e-bike innovation. 🚴♂️🔋 (Psst: You can visit the Panasonic Museum in Japan to see the history of our bikes! 🤫) Today, our motor series continue to power some of the most advanced e-bikes, combining modern design with powerful performance. In the heart of Cardiff, UK, our 50-year-old Panasonic factory is undergoing a significant transformation.🏭 Why is this important? 🟢 Environmental impact: By moving away from fossil fuels, Panasonic is making progress towards its goal of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions by 2030. 🟢 Local innovation: Utilising UK-produced green hydrogen, this plant demonstrates the collaborative efforts to decarbonise energy intense industries. 🟢 Inspiring future generations: This project serves not just as an engineering achievement; Panasonic aims to engage with students, offering educational insights and promoting interest in renewable energy. Once a center for traditional manufacturing, it now stands as Europe's first Panasonic HX renewable energy demonstration facility - highlighting the importance of innovation and sustainability.🌱 With a history of producing 90 million products over the last five decades, the site is now charting a path towards a more sustainable future, showing that established factories can adapt and lead in sustainability. Having balance is fundamental between social and business life. 💡 While saving is wise and spending brings joy, crossing the line—whether through stinginess, reckless spending, or debt—can lead to challenges. At Panasonic, we believe in acting responsibly, staying within our limits, and supporting one another to achieve harmony in all aspects of life. As our founder said "Whatever we do, we need to be very careful not to go beyond our limits. Feel free to advise each other if we go too far, and we should act responsibly." #PanasonicEurope #BusinessPhilosophy #Founder #History #Responsibility
