Last week, we had the privilege of having our co-founder, Martin Weber, speak on the German Pitching Stage at Slush 2024 in Helsinki. #Slush is always an inspiring event, and this year was no different. From engaging side events to countless great conversations, the energy and urgency around innovation were palpable. One key takeaway: *Packaging is an urgent topic for many industries*. With AI firmly taking its place in shaping the future, its disruptive potential in the packaging space is undeniable. As we prepare for 2025, the demand for Packaging Innovation is set to skyrocket. At one.five, this couldn’t be a better time as we launch Clearwing and Bluemorph—game-changing solutions that blend sustainability, performance, and cutting-edge technology. Hot off the press! Even the most conscientious consumer can struggle to complete a day without purchasing a product wrapped in plastic. A takeaway sandwich; the thin film round toiletries; even individual broccoli heads are wrapped in it. The planet churns out 141 million tons of plastic packaging annually, which accounts for 40% of the world’s plastic waste. "We spoke to a lot of scientists, and we saw that there was a huge gap between what research is coming up with and what the market is actually adopting.
