Have you ever had a cookie emergency? Well, our #clamps can come to the rescue! In #Germany, it is tradition to bake little cookies for Christmas. They are called "Plätzchen" and there are many different kinds of cookies, most of them feature butter or nuts. A special kind is the "Spritzgebäck", where the dough is pressed in round shapes. But what if it is just one day before Christmas and the cookie press breaks? Our colleague Jörg fixed it with one of our clamps! The career of Jan at #NORMAGroup started in 2013 with an #apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. Shortly before completing his #training, he was offered a job and started in the #accounting department in 2016. At the same time, he decided to start a dual study program in Business Administration with a focus on #treasury, which he successfully completed three years later. And after graduating, he joined the Group Treasury team, where he still works today at our site in Maintal, #Germany! What inspired him to stay with #NORMA Group all these years? Throughout the year, our sites in #India and #China hosted a series of activities aimed to promote #quality awareness and continuous improvement among the teams! The events included workshops on best practices, interactive sessions with experts from the field, showcases of innovative quality improvement projects with the emphasis on integrating quality into everyday operations and much more. A highlight of the quality month in Pune, India, was the Quality #Award by Daimler Truck AG, recognizing the outstanding efforts and commitment to quality resulting in zero PPM in 2023. But that was not the only recognition received by the team in Pune over the last two months: In November, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. recognized the team for their participation in the Kaizen competition on quality. #NORMAGroup has won a major order from a leading global manufacturer of household appliances in the #US. Starting in the fourth quarter of 2024, #NORMA Group will supply almost three million dishwashers annually with customized TORRO #clamps to the customer! This opens up additional market opportunities, for example with solutions for industrial applications. The TORRO worm drive clamp has been manufactured at NORMA Group's headquarters in Maintal for more than four decades. The clamp is characterized by a high belt tensile force and an even distribution of the clamping force. For the order, a new combination of the clamp band developed and manufactured in Europe and a screw based on the Anglo-American dimensional system was now designed.
