Minimises the risk of accidents: the Turn Assist keeps an eye on oncoming traffic when turning left. If drivers activate the left turn indicator, the assistant supports them at speeds of up to 20 km/h. When a dangerous situation is detected, it initiates an automatic braking procedure by force of the extremely short response time and warns the driver at the same time to prevent the vehicle from turning into oncoming traffic. Transporting the Pope's Christmas Tree to the Vatican. Our MAN TGS 26.540 6x2 recently completed a special journey, transporting the Christmas tree from Ledro, Trentino to St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. Covering 650 km mostly at night, this 34-meter-long vehicle carried the tree that Pope Francis will see every morning from his window. Santoni Srl expertly managed the operation, from cutting and preparing the tree to its safe transport. Giacomo Santoni personally drove the vehicle, equipped with our powerful D26 and custom hydraulic system. Founded in 1952, Santoni Srl is committed to innovation and quality. Their fleet includes 12 crane trucks, 14 road tractors, and 25 semi-trailers, handling a wide range of transport needs. We are proud that our MAN TGS played a key role in this exceptional transport.
