Reflecting on an Empowering Week for Women Entrepreneurs! Last week 3 of our co-founders, Aiyana Erbeking, Namatama Theresa Katanekwa, and Nora Alice Kortling, had the incredible opportunity to represent LearnGraph during Female Entrepreneurship Week 2024 in Hamburg. 💼 They participated in two inspiring events, each packed with valuable insights and connections that will undoubtedly shape their journey as female co-founders: Event 1: How to Raise Money for Your Startup? (FSA Academy Workshop) 🗓️ When: Wednesday, 20th November 📍 Where: Hamburg University of Applied Sciences During this workshop hosted by the Hamburg Investors Network, they explored essential topics for startups, including the differences between legal structures like GmbH and UG, financing options such as venture capital and convertible loans, and tips for navigating financing documentation. The detailed discussion on term sheets and venture capital deal terms was particularly insightful for us as we continue to scale LearnGraph. Event 2: Female Coworking Day betahaus Hamburg 🗓️ When: Friday, 22nd November 📍 Where: betahaus Hamburg They wrapped up the week at the dynamic betahaus Hamburg, joining a vibrant community of female founders. The coworking day was all about collaboration, idea-sharing, and gaining inspiration from the energy of other women entrepreneurs. A guided tour of the space and a chance to exchange ideas in this creative hub left them feeling motivated and full of fresh perspectives. LearnGraph Takes the Stage! 🎭 LearnGraph stepped out of the box (and off the screen!) to present our platform in the most unexpected way—through improv theatre at the Open Education Slam during OERcamp Essen! The slam invited participants to explore open education creatively—no slides, no lectures, just pure performance. We embraced the challenge and brought our vision of crowdsourced knowledge networks to life in a fun, interactive way. Our performance shared how users interact with LearnGraph to explore, connect, and contribute to a global learning ecosystem. Imagine dramatic twists, a little comedy, and lots of insights into open education—all in under 10 minutes! Here’s what made the evening special: ✨ A mix of diverse formats: everyone brought their unique style to the stage. ✨ A lively and engaged audience of open education enthusiasts, making the atmosphere electric. ✨ The opportunity to reflect on 10 years of Open Education Alliance efforts while imagining what the future could look like.
