How can I ensure that I can flexibly adapt the storage of my equipment and tools to changing production processes? The answer is: our modular Drawer System! 💪 It can be customised and is suitable for universal use. Carefully coordinated basic components come together to produce solutions that ensure the right drawer in the correct height, width and depth can be used precisely where needed. Every drawer will fit perfectly into the profile frame. The modular drawer system uses aluminium Front and Frame Profiles in three heights. Different designs can be easily combined. Together with the item Building Kit System and the item Telescopic Rails, they create custom drawers for any application or type of construction. #itemBuildingKitSystem #engineering #equipmentconstruction

What are the advantages associated with U-shaped production cells❓ ✅ Improved Flow: U-shaped cells are designed to optimize the flow of materials and products. This layout minimizes transportation time and distance, reducing the need for forklifts or conveyors to move items between workstations. This can significantly reduce lead times and increase overall process efficiency. ✅ Reduced WIP (Work-in-Progress): Because workstations are closely connected in a U-shaped cell, operators can quickly pass materials and partially finished products from one station to the next. This reduces the amount of work-in-progress inventory and helps prevent overproduction. ✅ Enhanced Communication: Operators in a U-shaped cell are in close proximity to each other, making communication more accessible and fostering teamwork. This can lead to quicker problem-solving, quality control, and knowledge sharing among team members. ✅ Flexibility: U-shaped cells are often designed with flexibility in mind. They can be easily reconfigured to accommodate changes in production requirements, such as introducing new product variants or adjusting to changing demand levels. ✅ Reduced Space Requirements: U-shaped cells are compact and efficient in their use of space. This can be especially advantageous in manufacturing facilities with limited floor space. ✅ Improved Productivity: The reduced distances between workstations and the elimination of transportation bottlenecks can lead to increased productivity. Operators can focus more on value-added tasks and spend less time on non-value-added activities like material handling. ✅ Simplified Supervision: Supervising a U-shaped cell is often easier because the layout allows managers and supervisors to have a clear line of sight to all workstations. This can lead to better quality control and faster response to issues. ✅ Lower Costs: U-shaped cells can help reduce costs associated with material handling, space, and inventory. This can result in cost savings for the company. Overall, U-shaped production cells are a practical and efficient way to organize manufacturing processes, especially for companies that prioritize lean manufacturing principles and are looking to optimize their production operations. However, the specific advantages may vary depending on the context and the industry in which they are implemented. #lean #productioncell #engineering #intralogistics

Innovative Solutions with Karakuri: Successful Prototype Implementation at BMW 🚀 During a 3-day Karakuri workshop at BMW, a groundbreaking prototype was created using our aluminum profiles. This development has greatly improved both efficiency and ergonomics in the assembly process. 🦾 The Karakuri solution allows for the direct pick-up and placement of a carset onto the vehicle via a self-driving assembly trolley. By eliminating the need to transport components along the vehicle’s length, it delivers significant ergonomic benefits for the workforce. We are proud to have contributed to this successful project and would like to thank BMW and the WPS workshop team for the excellent collaboration. Special thanks to Thorsten Ahrens MBA for organizing the workshop and Thomas Weinfurtner for his expert on-site implementation! #karakuri #lca #engineering #lean #ergonomics

Whether fighting fires or responding to flooding, civil protection is becoming ever more important as the world deals with climate change. It’s an issue that staff at LES GmbH are passionate about. All the staff volunteer for their local fire department and civil protection groups. 🚒 They have also developed numerous solutions of their own, such as wheeled containers for transporting equipment, supplying fuel and providing drinking water. Thanks to our profile technology, these trolleys can be kitted out and modified with exceptional flexibility. 🔧 Now the team aims to turn its calling into a career, and the company’s focus is to shift to include civil protection solutions as well as test benches and automation technology. Our latest blog post explains all: https://lnkd.in/exbwznns #civilprotection #emergency #firefighting
