This week we are exploring the three main outcomes of the UP-TO-ME project and how they will positively impact the global environment and society. The 2nd outcome focuses on the reduction of emissions caused by Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) The technology not only captures and utilises the CO2 from biogas for methanol production, but it also simultaneously upgrades the biogas to biomethane. This biomethane can be used as a substitute for natural gas and as a fuel for HGV’s. By providing clean fuel for these vehicles, the technology will reduce their overall emissions into the environment. Stay tuned to our social media for the 3rd outcome of the UP-TO-ME project.
