⚡ With a high number of flexible installations such as EVs, chargers, batteries and heat pumps, as well as a strong adoption of smart meters, Sweden is well positioned to increase the flexibility of the energy system. The lack of regulations for charging and discharging batteries gives households the freedom to optimize their energy consumption. 🔄 This environment creates considerable potential for flexibility solutions, from time-of-use (ToU) tariffs to explicit demand response services. ‼️ However, the financial incentives for optimizing self-sufficiency are still limited, so an advanced energy management system (EMS) is crucial for maximizing savings. 👉For more insights, go through our slider or download our ToU report for free: https://hubs.li/Q02VHgvC0 #EnergyFlexibility #SmartEnergy #Sweden #Renewables #EMS #EnergyManagement #Sustainability #ToUTariffs

🚗 As Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection in Germany, noticed – decarbonizing transport and pushing towards electricized vehicles is key when it comes to a successful energy transition. ⚡ But what about the heavy road transportation? A sector that is still heavily reliant on diesel and fossil fuels. Can we improve usability and create user-friendly solutions that will make customers want to shift loads and encourage grid-friendly behavior? 💪 Find out tomorrow in our gridXdays panel, "Decarbonizing heavy transport", and hear from three experts: ➣ Alejandra Fabián - Power Infrastructure Manager at Milence ➣ Dr. Felipe Rodríguez - Program Director at The International Council on Clean Transportation ➣ John Buckoke - Key Account Manager at Ekoenergetyka 👉Sign up for free here: https://hubs.li/Q02VtSp_0 #gridXdays #decarbonization #fossilfuels #EV #transportation #grid #loadshifting #infrastructure #transporttransition

🆕 gridX is marking a significant milestone with the start of the rollout of our new “Grid Signal Processor.” 🎛️ This module, designed to align with §14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG), empowers DSOs to control flexible consumption units, like EV chargers, heat pumps and batteries, in residential settings during emergency scenarios. 🕸️ By leveraging the EEBUS Initiative e.V. protocol for smooth integration with various control devices, our solution optimizes energy management without impacting household comfort. Already successfully tested with two key partners, Power Plus Communications and Theben AG, this module represents gridX’s commitment to scalable and adaptable energy solutions for the evolving needs of a smart grid and a renewable energy future. Additional manufacturers of control devices to follow soon. 🔎 For more details, read our full press release: hubs.li/Q02XGS8w0

🚀 In the UK upcoming Future Homes and Buildings Standards in 2025 will mandate a 75-80% reduction in CO2 emissions, creating a strong incentive for heat pump adoption across the country. ⚡ On top of that a new framework for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) will be introduced in 2024, setting out planning rules, technical standards, and revenue streams, such as frequency response services. However, investment in BESS has since been declining due to high upfront costs, lengthy payback periods, and perceived risks. ⏳ However there are still uncertainties regarding the timeline for the fossil fuel phase out and the need for reform in planning and grid connection processes remain key barriers to scaling Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). 🔎 If you want to dive deeper into the UK’s HEMS landscape take a look at our 2024 HEMS report here: https://hubs.li/Q02VGXlP0 #UK #battery #bess #EMS #HEMS #fossilphaseout #DER
