Fraunhofer IWM hat dies direkt geteilt
🎄 Today, we are wrapping up our brief introduction series of our partners with the Fraunhofer IWM, our project consortium lead. At Fraunhofer IWM, we are dedicated to advancing the safety and reliability of #materials and components. With our expertise in materials science, our work bridges the gap between the intrinsic behavior and properties of materials, and the functional, efficient, and durable technical systems they enable. For our industrial partners, we research the effects of various stresses — mechanical, tribological, thermal, electrical and chemical — on material function and durability. Moreover, we develop solutions so that they can be used in processes and components as adjustable systems. Together with our partners, Fraunhofer IWM is tackling some of the most pressing challenges of our time in the Fraunhofer-Leitprojekt ORCHESTER: ⭐ conserving resources in #manufacturing ⭐ the #substitution of critical materials ⭐ the energy transition ⭐ providing solutions for the digitalization of materials and processes We stand out with our ability to capture the interaction between alloy composition and process-structure properties across multiple scales — while enabling the unique combination of simulation and experiment. Not only that: At Fraunhofer IWM, we are at the forefront of #digitalization, developing semantically structured material and process data that integrate with physical models and #AI to predict material properties and component performance with accuracy.
