🚗🔌Driving Innovation to make charger availability the new normal!🔌🚗   We had a great time with Dirk Kunde and the #ElecTrip team, diving into our latest breakthrough in e-mobility: Evailable – a pioneering solution designed to make charger availability the new normal.   Developed within E.ON Group Innovation, Evailable empowers charging station operators and manufacturers to: ✅ Enhance Charger Availability ✅ Reduce Operating Costs ✅ Secure Revenue Streams   💡 How does it work? #Evailable leverages advanced #AI to analyze the unique usage patterns of each charging point. By identifying deviations from normal operation, it provides precise predictions about functionality and condition. Its predictive maintenance capability allows it to recognize potential issues several days before they lead to downtimes, ensuring timely intervention and uninterrupted service for EV drivers.   As you will see in the video, our collaboration with E.ON Drive Infrastructure ensures that this cutting-edge tool isn’t just theory – it’s already being used in the field.   🎥 Catch the video (in German) to see Evailable in action and to learn more from our head of mobility innovation Dr. Lioudmila Simon! #InnovationInAction #PredictiveMaintenance #Teamwork #ItsOnUs https://lnkd.in/eHcFC6-r

✨ Turning energy into impact: The E.ON #WeihnachtsWattWunder ✨🚴♀️ This week, the E.ON headquarters in Essen is buzzing with energy – quite literally! The foyer transformed into a hub of activity as colleagues jump on four energy bikes to generate as many kilowatt hours as possible for a great cause . Under the motto WeihnachtsWattWunder (Christmas-Watt-Wonder), every pedal stroke contributes to social impact: @E.ON donates €3 to social organizations in #Essen for every kilowatt hour generated. Among the participants this year is also our very own innovation team colleague, Nazeel Muzadique, who, together with the "Digital Board Team Victoria Ossadnik," Mona A. Oliver Birg Boris Beuster Moritz Kröplin powered an impressive 174 Wh of energy – incredible work, team! 🦿 So far, the initiative has already raised over €14,000 – and we’re excited to see how much more can be achieved. A heartfelt thanks to all our colleagues at E.ON for making this initiative such a success and to everyone who took part for pedaling with purpose.

Rapid development and unknown risks - these two aspects go hand in hand with #AI, and are two reasons why the topic is so fascinating for people working in innovation.   That's why I'm excited to be part of the F.A.Z. Institut #KIInnovationSummit on December 3rd in the F.A.Z Tower in #Frankfurt, where I'll be taking part in the opening panel discussion with the topic “Artificial Intelligence as a Driver of Innovation: Opportunities, Risks and Growth Potential”.   Together with a journalist from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and three industry experts and business leaders, we will discuss what #artificialintelligence can bring us from different perspectives.   I’m looking forward to giving an insight into our work at E.ON Group Innovation, sharing our experiences and visions for AI at E.ON, but also learning more about what others are doing.   One thing is for sure: It will be an inspiring panel! Will I see you there??   #Innovation #AI #SaveTheDate #AIatEON

Are you curious about what goes on behind the #AI-curtain in eMobility? It was fantastic to meet up with Dirk Kunde and the #ElecTrip-team again to talk about our latest innovation success story from E.ON Group Innovation in the field of eMobility: Evailable – our solution to make charger availability the new normal with the power of #AI and #bigdata. Let me tell you why we think this is so important: I drive an EV myself. Many of my colleagues do. And hopefully many more will in the near future. And we all share the same desire, actually the same as every charging station operator: A well-functioning infrastructure at the lowest possible cost.   This is why we started Evailable in the first place. With the power of AI we can help identify and solve issues quicker, cheaper and more efficient. Using Predictive Maintenance to get even ahead of new failures makes it even more valuable for both, operators and EV drivers. #WatchNOW to find out, how it all works and how our colleagues at E.ON Drive Infrastructure are using Evailable in the field! It was once again a pleasure, Dirk Kunde & team, Marion Feichtinger, Birgit Klink – a big thank you also to Stephan Koch and the #EDRI-team for being such great partners not only on the screen, but in our daily task to make new energy work #itsonus #cooperation #innovation https://lnkd.in/ekMjiS2n

It's not enough to discuss innovative and complex technology - we must turn it into an inspiring story. When we tell the story of innovation not just as a presentation of technical advancement, but as a process that is deeply human, it becomes something universally engaging, touching the heart as much as the mind. Documentary film has a unique power to make these complex issues come alive and tangible. Let's face it, none of us have the time or inclination to delve into complicated issues when our schedules are already packed. But when we communicate these issues in a clear and accessible way, we can burst bubbles, inspire people, and get them excited about our vision. Some projects in my career go beyond the day-to-day business and really make a difference. "Beyond the Code" is one such project. “Beyond the Code“ is presented by Partnership on AI and produced by BBC Storyworks Commercial Productions for E.ON. Our episode in this series highlights "EVAILABLE", an AI solution, which was developed at E.ON Group Innovation. Evailable learns the usage pattern of each individual charge point and recognizes deviations from the normal pattern. Thus, Evailable can precisely describe the health status of each charge point. Its predictive maintenance functionality can recognize upcoming trouble days before it actually happens. Evailable can repair many types of failures even remotely without sending out a service team. Benefit for the EV-drivers is very clear: higher charge point availability, more successful charging sessions.   With “Beyond The Code”, a story about an AI tool for charging infrastructure maintenance became a story of two innovators, Anders Krag & Stefan Herr and their genuine passion for creating a more sustainable world. It illustrates the possibilities that the energy sector offers today for anyone looking to drive positive change. As communicators, #itsonus to find these stories and bring them to the forefront. I'm incredibly proud of the result and how it can contribute to the global conversation about the future of energy and mobility.   I invite you to watch "Beyond the Code", not just our episode, but the whole series, which you can find on the BBC website. I also want to invite you to share your thoughts in the comments on how we can make stories about technology and innovation more tangible and engaging – always happy to be inspired!   Here's a photo of Anders Krag & Maike Buhr while shooting in sunny #Copenhagen earlier this year – thank you to everyone involved for this great experience!   #BeyondTheCode #EONGroupInnovation #Innovation #Energy #AI #eMobility

E.ON Group Innovation meets CIRCULAZE! Last week, our colleague Pamela Ong discussed the potential of circular economy for clean energy technologies like #photovoltaics at Circulaze Summit in Munich. PV modules have an approximate lifespan of 30 years. With PV numbers growing exponentially, so will the number of solar modules at the end of useful life. Sustainable waste management, therefore, is crucial to ensure that this is not proportionally accumulating as waste. The circular economy principles, to reduce, reuse and, recycle, are crucial here. However, so far there is a lack of viable business cases and targeted policies. Which is why, we partnered with Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge to explore the potential of circular economy for PV lifecycle management and to identify different routes for circular value chains.   What could this look like? ☀️ Design solar panels to facilitate material reprocessing which enables recycling. 🤝 Establish the right partnerships to ensure recycling as well as reuse of used PVs. 🔋 Think outside the box and explore upcycling opportunities of PV silicon in EV batteries. Interested in more circularity insights? Stay tuned to learn more about this exciting research project. #CirSum #CircularEconomy #PV #FutureEnergy
