📉 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Because investors seek technologies that aid in decarbonization, actively managing emissions is key. Companies have many options to choose from when it comes to eliminating and reducing emissions - so why not combine them? For example, ➕ They could reduce scope 1 emissions by improving energy efficiency on-site. ➕ Limiting scope 2 emissions by choosing renewable energy suppliers over electricity generated from fossil fuels. ➕ And reduce scope 3 emissions by making products and packaging recyclable or reusable 🟰 The 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 of meeting the sustainability demands of customers and investors is a major advantage of actively reducing emissions. You want to know more about how to reduce emissions and why financial success and sustainability are deeply intertwined? Read more in our new blog post! Or, are you involved in emission reduction innovation? Do you offer scalable nature-based solutions or help companies with offsetting efforts by qualifying carbon credits? We’d love to hear from you. #CarbonClarityxENV

👣 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 Emissions reduction is a complicated issue. Businesses that want to reduce their emissions have to navigate a complex value chain of emissions management. 🛫 The starting point for all businesses is tracking and measuring its emissions. To reveal which part of the value chain produces the most emissions, and where the business can have the most impact. Here we see lot of potential. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/esr2Neub We want to 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 in technologies that support businesses' journeys to decarbonization, whether that’s by reducing scope 1, 2 or 3 emissions or by helping businesses make sensible carbon emissions reduction decisions. 👉 A perfect example is Cozero We invested in Cozero because they are a leading provider of 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 for enterprises. Its Climate Action Platform offers seamless tracking, reduction, and reporting capabilities for corporate and product emissions. Their unique approach helps organizations in high-emission sectors align sustainability performance with financial management for comprehensive decision-making. 📧 So, do you engage in emission reduction innovation? Can you help companies in their offsetting efforts by qualifying carbon credits? We’d love to hear from you. #CarbonClarityxENV

🔦 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵! 🔦 The cooperation between volytica diagnostics and MAHLE got featured in an article by Handelsblatt! The article is all about the battery of a used electric car, which is one of the most expensive components of an electric vehicle. Plus, it ages. 🔌 Not only do years and temperature take their toll, but excessive fast charging also leaves its mark. It certainly looks like that providers will increasingly utilize battery management tools in the future to measure the batteries of electric cars. Because understanding the battery's condition is crucial for determining the value of used vehicles. ⏱️ The solution from MAHLE and volytica provides relief. This system enables a battery check in just 15 minutes. To achieve this, the collected data is analyzed in volytica's cloud, compared with already recorded batteries of the same type, and contrasted with the original capacity of the respective vehicle model. ⬇️ Find the link below

WVC:E 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 - 𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 It was my first time attending this event and I'm glad I made the trip. The organisation was perfect and the sessions full of valuable content. Roundtables are now my favourite networking format. My key take-aways are: 🥐 𝗘𝗦𝗚 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗙𝗗𝗥 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: It's easy to fall into box-ticking and form-filling mode with SFDR and EU taxonomy regulations but most of all ESG is about "doing good business" and building companies that last. 🥐 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘃𝘀. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀: For maximum impact the middle performers (2-3x) in a VC portfolio are just important as the top performers but may require different portfolio management. 🥐 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆: can best be influenced at pre-seed/seed level and more diverse investment teams will find more diverse founder teams. My new word of the day was "𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙍 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣" (= hiring a senior HR expert on a part-time basis) from Anna Ott in her session on "People Advisors" as advice for funds that are too small to have a full "head of people" role. Random learnings on the side: • Paris Metro is accessible with a baby stroller • It's easier for me to get to Paris than to Berlin thanks to the TGV connection • Paris has so many trees in unexpected places. I love how the city has developed in the last 10 years to become more people friendly. Sorry, Karen Wirth, for not having taken more pictures... #womeninvc

Three times the quality controls without any additional human resources – all thanks to Deepomatic Integrated in the internal Field Service Management QA app of our construction partners Cablex, MultiNet, Circet and Axians, Deepomatic simplifies the quality control workflow for field service engineers. Deepomatic is currently in use for all stages of the optical fibre expansion. During the in-house stage of the network expansion, indoor installations require professional quality control. Previously, these controls would be completed on site, meaning that only 10% of all installations could be checked. Thanks to Deepomatic software, 100% of the work can now be checked with 70-80% of it classed as right first time; that is, after the first quality check. Through regular training and continuous improvement, the AI-based software is now an integral part of the quality checks for our optical fibre expansion. With Deepomatic, our partners save time and money by being able to detect and correct faults immediately. The result? A more efficient fibre installation and satisfied customers. Fibre installation case study: A construction company is working on the optical fibre expansion at a customer’s site. It documents its work by uploading images to the work program. Deepomatic’s visual inspection system analyses the images in real time and provides immediate feedback. Work completed correctly is displayed in green. If the AI detects a checkpoint that does not comply with Swisscom specifications, it reports back to the users and requests a correction. This enables fibre optic engineers to correct faults directly on site before they leave the construction site. The completed work undergoes a final analysis by the system to ensure that everything has been fixed correctly. The aim is to avoid systematic controls on site in the future. Of course, there are situations where on-site visits and controls are essential. The Deepomatic software will also be used to analyse more construction stages in the future. Thanks to Deepomatic, not only will we achieve the goal of 75-80% fibre coverage in Switzerland by 2030, but these installations will also be quality assured. Would you like to learn more about how Deepomatic is revolutionising the optical fibre expansion?
