Shaping the future of energy: 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗕𝗶𝗗𝗶) 🏠 🔄 🚘 Giovanni Palazzo, CEO of Elli, had the opportunity to participate in a roundtable discussion with Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Robert Habeck. Together with over 80 industry stakeholders from all over Europe, necessary steps towards an European framework for bidirectional charging were discussed. A crucial step towards shaping the future of sustainable mobility and energy transition in Europe! "BiDi charging has significant potential for decarbonizing both the energy and transport sectors, offering numerous benefits to consumers while enhancing grid flexibility. However, to make V2G a success, it must be customer-centric, incentive-based, and easy to implement", says Giovanni Palazzo. "The work of the Coalition of the Willing and the paper are a success and a big step forward in creating an European framework for BiDi charging." All stakeholders agreed on six key recommendations for actions to be taken by policy makers and market participants: 1️⃣ Customer-focused incentives from the perspective of the energy system 2️⃣ Harmonizing technical standards and operational rules 3️⃣ Developing robust and interoperable infrastructure, including EVs, hardware, and software 4️⃣ Ensuring seamless and compliant data transfer for bidirectional vehicle use 5️⃣ Creating smart infrastructure for communication and charging solutions 6️⃣ Establishing fair policies for battery use in the context of bidirectional charging More information by Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz: https://lnkd.in/dBSb9Ss6

Did you know?💡 Young drivers are leading the shift towards electric mobility. According to an ADAC survey, 29% of drivers aged 18 to 29 believe their next car will be electric. Another 28% are considering the possibility. In contrast, only 9% of drivers over 50 are certain about going electric, though 18% are open to it. The potential for younger drivers to switch is significant, with over half expressing interest in purchasing an EV. #emobility #EV #survey
